The Acheron class is a Federation starship design type operated by Starfleet during the 31st century of a possible timeline.

Design[]
The ship’s hull is a compromise between Akira-class and Intrepid-class design philosophies, with the primary and secondary hulls blending seamlessly together into a long, sleek vessel, with two warp nacelles tucked close to the ship.

Tactical[]
- Tractor beam emitters: It is equipped with six tractor beam generators that can project a beam of gravity outward at a target thus allowing the manipulation of its trajectory.
Weapon systems[]
Phasers[]
The class is armed with fifteen arrays of phase emitter strips that fire pulsed beams of nadion particle discharge at a target. The frequency is auto-rotating to prevent adaption.
Torpedoes[]
It is secondly armed with five torpedo launch banks; three forward and two aft. They shoot out self-propelled torpedoes each equipped with either photon or quantum warheads.

Defensive systems[]
- Deflector shields: It is protected by deflector shields composed out of electromagnetic energy infused with gravitational waves. They absorb kinetic impacts and energy discharge for a limited time.
Energy generation[]
It is fitted with a matter x antimatter reactor which generated enormous amounts of power through explosive collisions releasing pure light (energy) which is then harnessed directly into FTL systems and regulated through a matrix of magnets and dilithium.
Acheron class vessels utilise a series of impulse reactors, fueled by deuterium, that use a nuclear fusion process to produce energised plasma that is then distributed across a relay system to power main and secondary ship functions.
Propulsion[]
The class can enter a planet's atmosphere and land on the surface.
FTL[]
It is equipped with a class 10 warp engine that works by generating warp fields to form a subspace bubble that enveloped the starship, distorting the local spacetime continuum and moving the starship at velocities that could greatly exceed the speed of light.
Sub-light[]
The class has sub-light drives consisting of nuclear fusion powered engine in which the plasma from the fusion reactor fuels a massive magnetic coil to propel the ship. It is a form of magnetohydrodynamic or magnetoplasmadynamic thrusters.
