The Archer was a type 9 shuttlecraft assigned to the USS Intrepid-A in 2378. It was named after Jonathan Archer, Captain of the NX-class starship Enterprise (NX-01). It was numbered "02" in order to register it as the Intrepid's second shuttlecraft. (Star Trek: Intrepid)
History[]
In 2379, Captain Typhuss James Kira used shuttlecraft Archer to disable the deflector dish of a Puddle Jumper, with Miranda Tate and Gul Aman Evek aboard. Typhuss was able to disable the deflector dish by firing phasers at the Puddle Jumper. But the Puddle Jumper got away. (Star Trek: Intrepid)
In 2385, Typhuss used shuttlecraft Archer to visit Kira Nerys and his kids on Bajor. Typhuss later used shuttlecraft Archer to return to the Intrepid but was attacked by a single Xindi-Insectoid Olaen class vessel and Typhuss was able to disable the shields on the Xindi ship after the battle the shuttle was forced to crash land on an M-class planet. Later Captain Kira was rescued by the USS Enterprise-E and shuttlecraft Archer was beamed aboard. (Star Trek: Intrepid)
In 2391, Typhuss and Kira used the Archer to travel to a Bajoran colony and check on it. They later used the Archer to leave the colony and were on course for the Intrepid. (Star Trek: Intrepid episode: "Shuttlecraft Down")
