History

The Avenger was originally owned by the Lanteans and fought in the Lantean-Wraith war, the ship survived the war but was lost in space, drifting in space for centuries until 2391.

In 2391, the USS Valiant found this Aurora-class battleship and marked the ship for study and possible use by the Atlantis Expedition and took the ship back to Starbase Atlantis for repairs by the Atlantis crew. (Star Trek: Valiant episode: "Ghosts")
