Sub-light speeds are accomplished via some form of anti-gravitational field units far superior to Federation fusion engines.

FTL/Time travel[]

It is equipped with some kind of chrono-deflector. The device operated by generating a powerful tachyon pulse to form a temporal rift, which could then be directed to a specific time and place anywhere in the universe.

  • Tractor beam emitters: It features several tractor beam generators that project beams of attenuated gravity at a target thus allowing the manipulation of its trajectory.

It is armed with four torpedo launch banks that shoot out self-propelled torpedoes each equipped with a chroniton warhead.

In contrast to regular phasers or disruptors, Balmort class ships are armed with an array of "Slycers". Directed energy weaponry that fires beams of Graviton particles at a target.

  • Deflector shields: For protection, it utilises sophiscated forcefield armor comprised out of energetic distortion and graviton waves that absorb kinetic forces and energy discharge.
