The Battle of Beloti sector was a conflict during the Federation-Cardassian War in 2354. The battle was between the USS Zeus and a Cardassian Galor class cruiser in the Beloti sector.
Prelude[]
The USS Zeus was patrolling in the Mericor system in the Beloti sector. The long-range sensors picked up a Cardassian Galor class cruiser heading for the Zeus. Captain Johnson ordered the ship to go to red alert and ordered the shields to be raised.
The Battle[]
The Zeus was able to fire phasers at the Cardassian Galor class cruiser, but the Cardassian ship returned fire. First officer Commander Jack Johnson, Commander Amy Johnson, the second officer were killed with Captain Johnson dying. Before Captain Johnson died, he gave Lieutenant Junior Grade Typhuss James Halliwell command of the Zeus and then Johnson died in Typhuss's arms. The Cardassian ship locked weapons on the Zeus and opened fired. The Zeus returned fire with phasers and photon torpedoes. The Zeus took heavy damage from the Cardassian attack. The Cardassian ship returned fired again hitting the Zeus with a more powerful blast. The Zeus returned fire with phasers. The Cardassian ship returned fired. The Zeus's shields were down to 60%. The Zeus returned fire again. The Cardassian ship returned fire with several torpedoes. The torpedoes hit the Zeus and the shields were down to 40%. Typhuss ordered the Zeus to retreat from the battle and engaging the Zeus's warp drive. The Zeus headed for Starbase 149.
Aftermath[]
After the battle with the Cardassian warship, the Zeus was repaired at Starbase 149 and returned to duty in the war with the Cardassians.
