Beverly Cheryl Howard Crusher MD, is a female Human who is a Starfleet officer who served as chief medical officer of the USS Enterprise-D and USS Enterprise-E for many years from 2364 to the 2380s, under Captain Jean-Luc Picard, with brief stints serving as head of Starfleet Medical in 2365 and 2378. In 2385, Beverly Crusher was promoted to the rank of captain and given command of the USS Pasteur. She maintained her command and rank through the 25th century.
With the start of the Second Federation-Klingon War in 2400, Beverly fought the Klingons and after the end of the war in 2403 the Federation and Starfleet were destroyed, replaced by the Bajoran Starfleet, Beverly joined the Bajoran Starfleet and lived on Bajor with the survivors of the war, serving as head of Starfleet Medical.
