Bivona is a liberated female Romulan science officer and intelligence officer for the Federation Starfleet. She currently serves under Captain Alexandra Uhura on the Enterprise. She’s also a friend of fellow Romulan Solana the granddaughter of Starfleet legend Tasha Yar and daughter of Dictator Sela.
Bivona’s parents are natives of the New Romulus and she grew up there until one day she and her twin sister T'Veria was captured and altered by the Borg. Underneath all that Borg implants Bivona longed to be free. Her chance had come when she was Rescued from the Borg on Deep Space K-13 where she was becoming part of the Federation. Bivona served as a science officer on USS Serpentina with the rank of Lieutenant Commander her 2 years on that ship was very special for her as the crew were welcoming with open arms. Sadly, in the 2nd round battle against the Romulans from The Star Empire where Solana’s mother is at the helm Starship Serpentina was destroyed but Bivona is among the 15 survivors who find themselves on the Enterprise F. Bivona reunited with Solana who was relieved that her friend is safe. Bivona decides that she will stay on board the Enterprise thus Captain Uhura promotes her to Commander and became the new chief science officer. Bivona had black curly hair, which had been buzz cut flat but has since regrown longer than before. She has reflective silver eyes and has bluish metal Borg implants on the left side of her face and left hand. At first, she wears her black intelligence uniform with her Starfleet combadge to go with it in addition soon as she settles into her new life on the Enterprise Bivona begins to wear her traditional teal blue Starfleet uniform.
