The Columbia class is a technologically advanced type of starship utilised by Starfleet during the 26th century of a possible timeline.

Life support[]
Columbia class starships have a regenerative environmental system to sustain its crew for extended periods without having to offload typical metabolic waste. The walls of the ship's interior were made of a synthetic fiber that was an artificial ecosystem, taking in carbon dioxide exhaled by the crew and expelling oxygen.
It features inertial dampeners, reinforced heat shield, reinforced radiation shield, and gravity plating.
Energy generation[]
The ship has a matter x antimatter reactor drive which generated enormous amounts of power through explosive collisions releasing pure light (energy) which is then harnessed directly into FTL systems and regulated through a matrix of magnets and dilithium.
It utilises three impulse reactors that uses a nuclear fusion process, fueled by deuterium, to produce energised plasma.
Tactical[]
- Tractor beam emitters: It featured multiple tractor beam generators; two forward, one ventral, and two rear, that project beams of attenuated gravity at a target thus allowing the manipulation of its trajectory.

It is armed with twelve mounted sub-atomic disruptor energy cannons which caused a target's molecular structure to break apart.
Torpedoes[]
The class is secondly armed with four torpedo launch banks that shoot out self-propelled torpedoes each equipped with a photon or quantum warhead. The complement of which is 120 photon and 90 quantum.
Defensive systems[]
- Deflector shields: It boasted a high-capacity shield grid to protect itself from various threats, such as impacts from bolides and debris, various space-related and energetic phenomena and hostile weaponry.
Stealth systems[]
- Cloaking device: The class features a Romulan designed cloaking device which enables the vessel to be hidden from sensors and visual modes of detection. The device works by generating a quantum phase bubble that teleports EM radiation to the other side of the cloaking field.
Propulsion[]
FTL[]
It is fitted with a standard issue Starfleet warp drive suited to exploratory needs. It works by generating warp fields to form a subspace bubble that enveloped the starship, distorting the local spacetime continuum and moving the starship at velocities that could greatly exceed the speed of light.
- The maximum speed is warp 9.999 with the cruising velocity being warp 7.
Sub-light[]
Columbia class vessels can travel through space at sub-light speeds via nuclear fusion engines in which the plasma from the fusion reactor powers a massive magnetic coil to propel the ship. It is a form of magnetohydrodynamic or magnetoplasmadynamic thrusters.
