The Cylon War is a twelve-year major conflict between the Koblians of the Twelve Worlds and their creations, the Cylons. A definitive point in history for both humanity and the Cylons, during the war the Federation was able to aid the colonies to win the war against the Cylons by uploading a virus that will shut down all of the Cylon Centurions forever.
After the war, the Federation provided the colonies of Kobol some advance weapons and technology in case of another attack from the Cylons, such as phasers, shields, and transporters.
The war lasted from 2410 to 2422.
