Deep Space 253 is a technologically advanced space station in service to the Federation and Starfleet within a possible 32nd century.
History[]
Following the Burn in the mid 31st century, DS253 was functionally cut off from the remnants of the Federation and had not received a visit from Federation Headquarters forces since 3102. However, it had been trading with an Emerald Chain mercantile exchange since the 3090s.
In 3189, Minister Osyraa proposed to Fleet Admiral Charles Vance that the Federation sanction the Emerald Chain's trade with DS253 and allow them to establish a official embassy on the station, thus signalling that they regarded the Chain's culture to be fundamentally valid and ethical. Which he refused.
The USS Discovery-A delivered Dilithium supplies to the station and were thanked with their signature gelato.
Later, due to the Federation's newly found dilithium supply, two Worf class vessels were sent along with a Mariner class ship to the station under the orders to purge Emerald Chain, establish proper Federation oversight, and make necessary repairs and retrofit.

Energy generation[]
The station is powered via eight fusion reactors, fueled by deuterium stored in large tanks, that utilise a nuclear fusion process to generate highly energised plasma that is then fed into primary and secondary systems through a polaric conduit based EPS grid.
Tactical[]
- Tractor beam emitters: Deep space 253 features six tractor beam generators that project an attenuated beam of gravity at an object thus allowing the manipulation of its trajectory.
Weapon systems[]
It boasts an impressive arnemant including 48 phaser arrays on rotary mounts, 36 stationary mounted phaser emitters, 3 sliding mounted phaser emitters. All of them fire pulsed beams or bolts of tetryon plasma particles at a target.
