The Der'kal Empire was the government established by the Der'kal in 2330 and, at its height, stretched from one end of the galaxy to the other. It grew from a small incursion at P9X-335 to an immense state capable of decimating the United Federation of Planets and its allies, and its armada was the largest ever assembled in modern history. After four years of dominance over its enemies, however, the Empire was dissolved by Vur'naa, who recognized the futility of attempting to effectively rule over such an enormous area and the immorality of even bothering to try.
