The Devore warship was a 24th century Devore starship class, a type of warship in Devore Imperium service in the 2370s decade. Ships of this type were deployed to patrol Imperial space and keep telepaths and gaharey (aliens) out. (VOY episode: "Counterpoint")
Specifications[]
Devore warships were larger than a Federation Intrepid-class starship. One was a match, two outgunned an Intrepid-class starship. They carried a sizeable crew, dwarved an Intrepid-class vessel in size, and carried at least one Devore scout ship. Devore warships were equipped with refractive shields. (VOY episode: "Counterpoint")
Vessels of the class were 800 meters long and equipped with refractive shielding. (The Official Starships Collection Issue 153: "Devore Warship")
Technical data[]
Physical arrangement[]
Devore warships were much larger than Federation Intrepid-class starships. They were matte black with a roughly semi-circle shape. (VOY episode: "Counterpoint")
Tactical systems[]
Two of these vessels together could substantially outgun a Federation Intrepid-class, but one on its own was said to be roughly an equal match. Devore warships were equipped with refractive shielding, which rendered them difficult to detect on sensors. (VOY episode: "Counterpoint")
Service history[]
In 2375, the Federation starship USS Voyager entered Devore space on its way from the Delta Quadrant to the Alpha Quadrant. The Imperium granted passage on the condition that Voyager submit to frequent inspections by Devore personnel. The total of four inspections were carried out by pairs of Devore warships. The inspections were for the purpose of finding telepathic beings, which they would move to relocation centers. These were commanded by Kashyk. Voyager detected another dozen warships laying in wait in a Mutara class nebula for ships illegally carrying telepaths. (VOY episode: "Counterpoint")
In 2377, a racing shuttle that resembled a shuttle-sized Devore warship, flying in reversed orientation, participated in the Antarian Trans-stellar Rally. (VOY episode: "Drive")

Ship in the Void
In the same year, one of the ships in the Void anomaly resembled a smaller Devore warship. It attacked Voyager when it stranded inside the anomaly around stardate 54553.4 and stole an engineering console, foodstuff from the airponics bay, and deuterium before being driven off by General Valen and his ship. Valen later tracked the alien ship down and raided it, leaving the ship venting plasma. Voyager, unaware of the pirates' fate, tracked the vessel to try and recover the stolen goods, only to find the ship lifeless except for Fantome. An away team recovered tricesium from the warp core's casing.
Captain Kathryn Janeway later confronted Valen about the piracy. (VOY episode: "The Void")
In the 2380s, Kashyk served as commanding officer of the Manticle. In 2381, his body became the unwitting host of a Seriareen mind. The parasite co-opted Kashyk's influence to manipulate the otherwise xenophobic Devore Imperium into joining the interspecies Kinara alliance. In 2382, the Manticle served as one of the Kinara flagships and took part in the conflict to seize control of Underspace from the Confederacy of the Worlds of the First Quadrant. (VOY novel: Acts of Contrition)
The Manticle, now rated as a cruiser, was destroyed in a battle between the Kinara and the Confederacy Interstellar Fleet. (VOY novel: Atonement)
Alternate timeline[]
In an alternate timeline where the Delphic Expanse was not dissolved by the Enterprise NX-01 in 2154, a Federation Dauntless-class science vessel pursued and fired on a Sphere Builder vessel resembling a Devore warship during the Battle of Procyon V in 2554. (ENT episode: "Azati Prime")
