A district attorney, simply known as a DA, is the chief state prosecutor in their area, such as a city. In Star City, they are appointed by the mayor, with their office located at City Hall. The DA's office usually has a number of assistant district attorneys, and works with the SCIS, taking criminals to court and prosecuting them, attempting to bring them to justice, with the district attorney themselves taking on high profile and important cases. There have been a number of known DAs in both Star City and Central City in recent years.
