The F class is a technologically advanced type of starship utilised by the Coridanite Confederacy in the 32nd century.

History[]

Technical data[]

Propulsion[]

The class is capable of atmospheric entry and planetary landing.

FTL[]

The class lacks any formal FTL drive but can achieve faster than light speeds via soliton wave conduits. The maximum sustainable speed is warp factor 2.3

  • Twenty three field coils, working in concert, generates the soliton wave from one point
  • The wave will then envelop the ship and push it into warp velocities
  • The wave is directed toward a selected destination in Confederacy space where another facility will generate a scattering field thereby dissipating the wave

Sub-light[]

The ship has sub-light drives consisting of nuclear fusion powered engine in which the plasma from the fusion reactor fuels a massive magnetic coil to propel the ship. It is a form of magnetohydrodynamic or magnetoplasmadynamic thrusters.

The programmable matter string-grain-like pods at the rear allow for greater maneuverability and efficiency in flight. It also has inbuilt light stabilizer panels reducing friction.

Life support[]

  1. Gravity plating
  2. Inertia dampeners
  3. Oxygen generators
  4. Heat shield
  5. Radiation shield

Tactical[]

Defensive systems[]

  • Deflector shields: For protection, F-class vessels employ a bubble comprised out of layered electromagnetic distortion infused with graviton particles. This facilitates the absorption of kinetic impacts and energy discharge.

Trivia[]

  • The purpose of the F-class is to enable civilian and diplomatic travel between Confederacy member worlds and colonies without having to utilise dilithium.
