In the alternate mirror universe, Furel is a male Bajoran who lived in the 24th century. Furel was a member of the Maquis and the Bajora resistance cell during the fight against the Terran Empire.
Furel was romantically involved with Lupaza and was good friends with Kira Nerys and Shakaar Edon.
In 2355, Furel met young Kira Nerys, who wanted to join the resistance and the Maquis. Although he and the rest of the cell found Kira too young, Lupaza stood up for her. When he made jokes about Kira, he was often hit by Lupaza for doing so. (Star Trek: Terran Empire)
