The Hak'tyl-class is the first class of warships developed after the fall of the Goa'uld. Loosely based on Apophis' mothership design, the Hak'tyl-class was first military cooperation between newly re-established Free Jaffa Nation (FJN) and Federation.
While the outer shell is roughly similar to one of a kind mothership used by Apophis, the inner layout and equipment were completely redesigned. While almost completely build by Jaffa workers, the integration of Asgard technology originally stolen by Anubis proved as greater technological undertaking than previously anticipated.
The integration project led by Major Jennifer Hailey proved as more difficult than anticipated and several shortcuts had to be taken in order to finish the project on time. While the FJN council petitioned the Federation for access to Asgard beam weapons, the plea was ultimately denied in 6 to 1 vote by the IOA.
This decision proved as critically correct when Hak'tyl-class motherships began to appear in the arsenal of the Lucian Alliance. A fact that sparked political hostilities between the Federation and Free Jaffa Nation.
