Irregular Procedures Part 2 is the 2nd episode of Star Trek: Anubis in Anubis Season 1.
Synopsis[]
While doing training missions the cadets are feeling a bit bored but when they're caught in a gravitational event they must come together to survive.

EXT. WARP SPACE [OPTICAL]
The Anubis travels at warp.
INT. BEDROOM AREA/CAPTAIN CLARKSON'S QUARTERS, USS ANUBIS
Kyle gets up from his bed and looks at the window at the stars streaking by the ship at warp, and he gets ready to go on duty.
EXT. UNKNOWN SECTOR, ROMULAN SPACE [OPTICAL]
The Melak and her escorts are at station keeping.
INT. MAIN BRIDGE, IRW MELAK
Commander T'Rel walks over to the science console where Doctor Sirol sits at station.
CDR. T'REL: Report?
DR. SIROL: The navigational deflector is charging but it will take awhile we never had to use it like this before it could overload.
CDR. T'REL: Just get it done.
Sirol rolls his eyes as he's not happy about the Tal'Shair butting into his research.
Commander T'Rel sits in the Captain's chair.
CDR. T'REL: Earth's conquest is at hand.
[BLACKOUT, END OF TEASER, STARTING CREDITS]
Act 1[]
FADE IN
EXT. WARP SPACE [OPTICAL]
[EPISODE NOTES: OPENING CREDITS FALL OVER OPENING SCENES]
The Anubis travels at warp.
INT. MESS HALL, USS ANUBIS
The cadets are having breakfast.
CDT. BREATHERS [scoffs]: Ugh, why can't we have real food instead of the reconstituted stuff.
Ashley looks at him.
ASHLEY: Because, we're not a big ship.
Carl pushes the plate back.
CARL: I rather have real food.
[COM CHIRPS] As Commander Del comes over the com.
LCDR. DEL [com voice]: Cadets report to the briefing room
Carl, Ashley, Rachel, and Zach get up from their table and EXITS the mess hall.
INT. BRIEFING ROOM, USS ANUBIS
The cadets are sitting at the table as Captain Clarkson briefs the cadets on their training mission.
CPT. CLARKSON: Our training missions are the following first we'll head over to the Aldebaran system to help the outpost conduct a scientific survey mission, then we're assisting the USS Haven in a medical relief mission to the Terron IV colony and then we'll meet the Enterprise and conduct a wargame session with them any questions?
CDT. BEATHERS: A scientific survey, and a medical relief mission? Why not just skip to the wargame session with the Enterprise sir?
CPT. CLARKSON: Because we've been given those assignments Cadet and we will conduct them to the best of our ability am I clear?
CDT BEATHERS: Yes, sir.
CPT. CLARKSON: Dismissed.
The cadets EXITS the briefing room as Commander Del walks over to Kyle.
LCDR. DEL: Cadet Beathers doesn't like these assignments?
Kyle turns to him.
CPT. CLARKSON: True, Zerub but we have to get it done.
EXT. ALDEBARAN SYSTEM [OPTICAL]
A burst of light as the Anubis EXITS warp approaching the Sigma-class outpost.
INT. MAIN BRIDGE, USS ANUBIS
Captain Clarkson and Commander Del are in their chairs between the middle computer.
CPT. CLARKSON: Cadet Bains hail the outpost.
Cadet Bains taps commands into the communications console.
CDT. BAINS: The outpost is responding sir.
ANGLE - TRANSPARENT VIEWER [OPTICAL]
shows the command center of the outpost.
CPT. CLARKSON: Greetings I'm Kyle Clarkson Captain of the starship USS Anubis we're here to provide assistance to you for your scientific survey.
DR. JONES [viewer]: Welcome Anubis we're glad that you're here to provide assistance to us in our survey mission we're transmitting what we've learned so far maybe you can increase our chances
Captain Clarkson turns to the science station.
CPT. CLARKSON: Cadet Weir, you and Lieutenant Smart have your work cut out for you both.
CDT. WEIR: Yes, sir we'll get started on it.
Both women get to work on their science stations.
EXT. ALDEBARAN SYSTEM [OPTICAL]
The Anubis moves from the outpost and begins the survey mission.
[BLACKOUT, END OF ACT 1]
Act 2[]
FADE IN
EXT. ALDEBARAN SYSTEM [OPTICAL]
The Anubis travels through the system at impulse.
INT. SICKBAY, USS ANUBIS
Both Doctor Takahashi and Cadet Willis are doing a inventory of the medical supplies.
DR. TAKAHASHI: We've got 23 vials of mild, heavy, and light sedatives, 12 vials of morphine, 14 vials of hyrondlin to combat radiation injuries or infections, and we've 14 hyposprays, 13 medical tricorders and a few med kits.
CDT. WILLIS: That's a lot of medical supplies Doc.
DR. TAKAHASHI: True but we've got alot of medical technology here and we should put it to good use.
CDT. WILLIS: And the EMH?
DR. TAKAHASHI: I'm not a fan of it because the program has no beside manners or if it did its very terrible bedside manners, but keep it on standby for now.
CDT. WILLIS: Yes, doc.
Cadet Willis walks to finish the inventory.
EXT. ALDEBARAN SYSTEM [OPTICAL]
The Anubis conducts the survey mission.
INT. MAIN BRIDGE, USS ANUBIS
Cadet Weir sits at the science station.
CDT. WEIR: Captain, our survey is completed.
Captain Clarkson turns to her.
CPT. CLARKSON: Transmit our findings to the outpost.
CDT. WEIR: Aye, sir.
CPT. CLARKSON: Mister Beech set course for the Terron System warp 6.
CDT. BEECH: Course set and laid in sir.
CPT. CLARKSON: Engage.
Cadet Beech activates the warp drive.
EXT. ALDEBARAN SYSTEM [OPTICAL]
The Anubis's warp engines power up and she shot off into the distance into a burst of light.
INT. BEDROOM AREA/CADET BEATHERS QUARTERS, USS ANUBIS
Carl lays on his bed looking at a PADD reviewing the sensor logs from the survey mission.
[QUARTER DOORS CHIMED] As he puts the PADD on the bed and walks to the doors.
INT. LIVING ROOM AREA/CADET BEATHERS QUARTERS, USS ANUBIS
[QUARTER DOORS WHOOSHED OPENED] As Rachel stands in the door frame.
RACHEL: Hi, I didn't know if you wanted a visitor?
CARL: You're good Rach.
They embraced as they back up into the bedroom and the doors closed.
[BLACKOUT, END OF ACT 2]

EXT. TERRON SYSTEM/TERRON IV ORBIT [OPTICAL]
The Anubis is next to the USS Haven a refitted Jonas Salk-class medical frigate.
CPT. CLARKSON'S [voice over]: Captain's log stardate 56679.9, The Anubis is orbiting Terron IV providing medical assistance to the USS Haven a Jonas Salk-Class medical frigate that was reactivated due to the lack of medical frigates, as soon as we're done here we'll proceed to Starbase 115 to conduct wargames with the Enterprise and her crew
INT. CAPTAIN'S READY ROOM, USS ANUBIS
KYLE: So far the training missions are going well the cadets are responding well to my orders and following them without question, those I am a bit worried about one cadet those a Cadet Carl Beathers he seems to not trust me.
ANGLE - MONITOR [OPTICAL]
shows the ready room of the Enterprise-E and Captain Branson.
JOHN [monitor]: Kyle, I've read his file from what's I've been told about him he seems to be a very capable officer but he does have a few infractions in his record at the Academy
KYLE: So, we've got a problem cadet?
JOHN [monitor]: Its possible but so far since then he's not had any other issues
Kyle leans on the desk.
KYLE: How's things aboard the Enterprise?
JOHN [monitor]: Oh you know same old same old we're currently exploring a sector in the Beta Quadrant, and after that we'll proceed to Starbase 115
KYLE: That's good how's Jamie?
JOHN [monitor]: Last I heard from her the Harrison is on an engineering related mission at Starbase 375 along the Bajoran sector, but me and Jessica are planning on meeting her for a get together when the three of us have time
[COM CHIRPS] As Commander Del comes over the com.
LCDR. DEL [com voice]: Captain Clarkson report to the bridge
KYLE: That's my cue John.
JOHN [monitor]: I understand, get back to work Captain. Branson out
[TRANSMISSION ENDS] As Kyle smirks and gets up from the chair and walks to the ready room doors.
JUMP CUT TO:
INT. MAIN BRIDGE, USS ANUBIS
[READY ROOM DOORS WHOOSHED OPENED] As Captain Clarkson walks onto the bridge.
CPT. CLARKSON: Report?
LCDR. DEL: We've detected a vessel on an intercept approach.
CPT. CLARKSON: Have you been able to identify her?
At ops Cadet Weir taps commands into the console and reports.
CDT. WEIR: It reads as a Ferengi Marauder similar to the vessel that the Enterprise-D encountered in 2370.
CPT. CLARKSON: Cadet Bains hail them and ask them to stand down or we'll be forced to fire upon them.
Cadet Bains works at the com console and reports.
CDT. BAINS: They're not responding to our hails sir.
[TACTICAL ALARMS BEEP] As Lieutenant Lewis looks at the read out.
LT. LEWIS: They're charging weapons!
CPT. CLARKSON: Shields up!
[BOOM!] As everyone braces themselves as the lights changed.
[KLAXONS BLARING]
EXT. TERRON SYSTEM/TERRON IV ORBIT [OPTICAL]
The Marauder fires at the Anubis as her forward shields flicker and crackle.
[BLACKOUT, END OF ACT 3]
Act 4[]
FADE IN
INT. MAIN BRIDGE, USS ANUBIS [RED ALERT]
[BOOM!] As everyone braces themselves.
LT. LEWIS: Shields are holding sir.
CPT. CLARKSON: Standby phasers target weapons only.
Lieutenant Lewis taps commands into the tactical station.
LT. LEWIS: Phasers locked on target.
CPT. CLARKSON: Fire!
He presses the firing button.
EXT. SPACE [OPTICAL]
The port phaser strip of the Anubis powers up and a single orange phaser beam lances out and struck the marauder as orange energy courses along the outer hull of the vessel.
INT. MAIN BRIDGE, USS ANUBIS [RED ALERT]
CDT. WEIR: Their weapons are down sir.
Captain Clarkson gets up from the Captain's chair and walks to the viewer.
CPT. CLARKSON: Cadet Bains let's see if they're in the mood to talk.
Cadet Bains taps commands into the com console.
CDT. BAINS: They're responding now.
ANGLE - TRANSPARENT VIEWER [OPTICAL]
shows the bridge of the Ferengi cruiser as well as a familiar face.
CPT. CLARKSON: I'm Kyle Clarkson Captain of the Federation starship USS Anubis why did you attack my vessel!
DAIMON PAK [viewer]: I am Daimon Pak, we were informed that you have medical supplies being transported to this colony
CPT. CLARKSON: Are you responsible for the last few shipments not making it to the colony?
DAIMON PAK [viewer]: Maybe, maybe not but we expect compensation for what happened to my vessel several years ago! And we took what was ours!
CPT. CLARKSON: Those supplies were for this colony Daimon you will return those supplies.
Pak snarls.
[TRANSMISSION ENDS] As Cadet Weir checks the ops console and reports.
CDT. WEIR: The marauder has beamed down the medical supplies they're falling back.
EXT. WARP SPACE [OPTICAL]
The Anubis travels to Starbase 115.
INT. MAIN BRIDGE, USS ANUBIS
ANGLE - TRANSPARENT VIEWER [OPTICAL]
shows the bridge of the Enterprise-E and Captain Branson.
CPT. BRANSON [viewer]: Daimon Pak? I read about him in Jean-Luc's mission report but its just a surprise that he had those supplies
CPT. CLARKSON: Yeah, it was a surprise but we were able to get them back we're currently on course to Starbase 115.
CPT. BRANSON [viewer]: We're just about ready over here...we...be.....
[TRANSMISSION ENDS ABRUPTLY] As Captain Clarkson turns to Cadet Bains.
CPT. CLARKSON: Cadet?
Cadet Bains works her console.
CDT. BAINS: I'm not sure what happened sir.
[BOOM!] As everyone braces themselves.
[KLAXONS BLARING] As Captain Clarkson looks at the ops station.
CPT. CLARKSON: Report!
LT. SMART: Some sort of gravitational surge Captain its disrupted communications!
CDT. BEECH: Its latched onto our warp field sir I can't break us free!
Captain Clarkson taps commands into the middle console.
CPT. CLARKSON [to com]: All hands batten down the hatches secure all primary systems brace to impact!
[BRIGHT FLASH]
EXT. SPACE [OPTICAL]
A shot of Starbase 115 a Spacedock type Starbase as well as the Sovereign-Class USS Enterprise-E at station keeping.
INT. MAIN BRIDGE, USS ENTERPRISE-E
Commander Williams sits at the engineering console and reports.
LCDR. WILLIAMS: There's nothing wrong with the communications system on our end sir I can't explain why we'd lost contact with the Anubis.
CPT. BRANSON: Mister Mason hail them.
Lieutenant Mason taps commands into the tactical console.
LT. MASON: Still nothing sir.
At ops station Lieutenant Smith reports.
LT. SMITH: Captain, long range sensors have detected a brief surge in gravitational emissions.
CPT. BRANSON: Where did they come from?
Lieutenant Smith taps commands into the ops console and reports.
LT. SMITH: Between our current position and the last known position of the Anubis.
LCDR. T'MIR: Captain if they were at warp then the gravitational surge would of caused them to move beyond our galaxy.
CPT. BRANSON: The question is where?
EXT. SPACE [OPTICAL]
The Enterprise is at station keeping next to the starbase.
