Jack Tiberius Crusher is a Federation Starfleet officer who served in the Dominion War and was assigned to Federation Security, later recruited into Section 31 where he soon became a wanted criminal in dozens of star systems only to fall through a temporal disruption and land in the 31st century where he became a major player in the Temporal Cold War, on par with that of Crewman Daniels.

The son of Admirals Beverly Crusher and Jean-Luc Picard, he is practically Starfleet Royalty, with natural borg enhancements - considered an 'evolution' of the typical drone further enhanced by the assimilation of modern 31st century technology.

History[]

Early Life[]

Conceived on Casperia Prime, a pleasure planet in the beta quadrant, by two high-ranking starfleet operatives - Beverly Crusher and at the time Captain of the Flagship Enterprise, Jean-Luc Picard. His existence was kept secret from his father, and he was born with a birthmark on a 'sensitive' part of his body.

He attended school in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Earth during the 24th century. He acquired his accent while there and according to his mother, never quite shook it. When he was a boy, Crusher took Jack to the Crimson Arboretum on Raritan IV. As the planet was again a "pleasure planet", similar to Risa, and mostly inhabited by Deltans and Orions. He had engaged in homosexual experimentation while there, paying 2,000 darseks to a club where he partook in Orion Hurricanes and mind altering recreational drugs, and had sex with at least nine members of numerous species: including 3 Deltans, 2 Orions, 2 Risians, and 2 unknown species. At some point during it, he had passed out, with upon waking up, the money was left on the counter next to the bed as it seemed they enjoyed the experience so much that they did not want any payment.

When he came of age, he was given a choice by his mother to meet and get to know his father, but to her knowledge he did not take her up on the offer. Indeed, however, Crusher visited 10 Forward Avenue where Picard was having lunch but didn't reveal himself. While there, he inquired if Picard ever regretted not having a family, and Picard boasted that Starfleet was all the family he ever needed. Unbeknownst to Picard, at the time, his answer was why Crusher chose to not pursue a relationship with his father.

As a young boy, he had a somewhat rebellious streak in him as he once, for example, stole a Chevy Corvette convertible upgraded with antigrav technology, drove it recklessly, got into a high speed chase with local police, then nearly died when he barely managed to jump out, as he drove the car into a quarry.

Starfleet Academy[]

At his mothers encouragement, he applied to Starfleet Academy in San Francisco of Earth, being accepted immediately due to nepotism of who his mother was - Admiral Beverly Crusher, Head of starfleet medical and decorated officer. Despite the circumstances of his enrollment, he excelled in the Academy, getting the best grades in his class. Often noted as being a bit of a role model and predicted to be the first of his class to get promoted to captain.

At the academy, he majored in science and security divisions. Earning premier distinctions in astrophysics, exo-archaeology, exobiology and engineering. With applied distinctions in hand to hand combat, hand-wielded directed energy weaponry, crisis management, psychological field assessment, and more.

Starfleet Career[]

On one harrowing occasion, he was trapped in a sentient cave of intense heat for weeks with nothing more than Klingon field rations, describing it as "a dark place that knows things". Indicating psychological torment. It was also worth noting that due to the extreme heat, he was naked for majority of the time there and when he was eventually rescued, he was humiliated; found naked covered in Hargovlian slime kelp.

He also noted that he had almost been decapitated by a Reman who "smelled like a trash bag", and was once held in a Cardassian prison in an asteroid field where he had to fight a gorilla-like beast for his shirt simply because it wanted to be antagonistic. He recalled escaping from the prison when he was taken to a private chamber for interrogation by the Obsidian Order where he was continuously shocked with taser-prongs until he lured them into his range and bit them causing them to drop the tool onto the console and release his cuffs. He engaged in a fist fight with three Cardassian officers and took one of them hostage as he made his way through the facility and stole a captured Oberth-Class starship to escape.

He also recounted battles with a man that had tentacles that latched onto his skin and stabbed him with a barnacle blade on the chest, a fight on Magus III where he was shot in the right shoulder by a disruptor pistol, a fight on Nanibia Prime where his left bicep was bitten by Gorn, and his inner thigh grazed by horns.

At some point, he befriended and blood bonded with General K'orin. Years later, recalling that he and K'orin had done some "off-the-books grey ops stuff back in the day," and together had worked on Jaxxa Prime, Vulcan, and Earth.

USS Atlantis[]

Sometime during the 2370s, Picard served aboard the starship Atlantis, his first assignment, where he was a Security officer with secondary beta shift duties in engineering, at some point, nearly half of the ship's crew succumbed to a Kerplickian lice infestation. Since Starfleet was embarrassed by the situation, it was never logged in official records. He took advantage of that fact when he started a rumor that he was a specially trained black ops spy who had killed those who had otherwise simply and officially had mysteriously disappeared.

USS Excelsior[]

While aboard the Excelsior, he participated in establishing first contact with the Galardonian High Council in 2371. Sometime during 2370s (after stardate 47025.4), he experienced the death of almost all his good friends and several fellow crew mates who was eaten alive by a Harvongian while their ship was docked at Deep Space 9. The experience was traumatic.

Deep Space Nine[]

After the Excelsior issue, he was transferred to Deep Space 9, between the periods of 2371-2374, an assignment of 3 years where during this time he fought in the Dominion War against the Jem'Hadar and Cardassians. It was around this time where his Borg enhancements began to become most active, previously being latent and recessive. Likely due to the stress and physical demands of warfare.

He was present at the aftermath of the Setlik III massacre, where his technical skill was useful in repairing a field transporter, allowing him and thirteen other Starfleet personnel to escape a Cardassian patrol on a Dominion transport. This earned him a promotion to primary tactical officer onboard the USS Defiant. He also served as part of a squad to aid the survivors of the massacre, as Cardassians were still patrolling the settlement; he helped a group of injured men, women and children but was ambushed by a team of Cardassians while the other members of his unit was out. In a moment of panic, his eyes turned black and he was like a machine. Instantly incapacitating one of his foes, killing another with a phaser set to maximum (triggered by his nanoprobes interacting with the settings), and demolishing the others with superior strength.

As soon as the threat was disposed of, his eyes returned to normal and he passed out, as other members of his unit returned and witnessed him passing out, which they simply saw as exertion and hailed him "the hero of Setlik III" due to his actions. He recovered onboard Deep Space 9, attended to by Julian Bashir.

Section 31[]

Scans of the phaser at Setlik III revealed trace elements of foreign technical signatures, most closely identified with that of the Borg. News of this was kept classified and Jack was transferred out of Deep Space 9 by order of Admiral Forest against the wishes of Julian Bashir, who lodged a formal protest at Starfleet Medical. Taken to a orbiting base around 40 Eridani A, underlying Borg DNA was discovered, realizing him to be the lovechild of Jean-Luc Picard, they deduced it to date back to Locutus and derived him as the first naturally occurring Borg drone, born with his physiology but no sign of external implants and did not show on any normal scan. Only picked up when his borg enhancements are active, instead of their recessive sleeping state.

They used sophisticated medical technology to program his mind into a killing machine, a secret weapon that could destabilize entire sectors, topple governments, infiltrate foreign powers, and assassinate heavily guarded operatives. Jack's time here was fuzzy, blurred, and obscured from his memory. But he recalled at one point hanging from the ceiling as he could barely keep his eyes open but a bright light in front of him and needles piercing his skin. Injecting large amounts of outlawed drugs into his system.

He also recalled being stripped and forced into a cryogenic ice-bath of freezing cold water where he was submerged for several minutes and electrofied.

Criminal Record[]

At some point, he left Starfleet and resigned his commision, becoming known as a criminal in both Federation and non-Federation space, associated with dozens of aliases.

Jack was wanted on Risa and Betazed, Trill, Cardassia Prime, and Rigel IV. Further wanted for murder on Minas V, possession of unregistered liquors on Bajor, and possession of unregistered arms on Archer IV, wanted for destruction of federal property on Carvel.

Physical Appearance[]

Physically, Jack stands around 6 feet 3 inches tall in height and is broad-shouldered and muscular in build with athletic conditioning and distinctive abdominals, towering even over other tall men. This build, alongside his short puffy / wavy dark brown hair, perfectly puts him into the description of "tall, dark and handsome." He has light brown eyes and weighs 85 kilograms. His measurements are as follows; Chest – 38 inches, waist - 31 inches, arms/biceps - 14 ½ inches.

A result of his good looks, he is often the object of sexual desire for most of the species he comes in contact with. Compared to that of a Deltan.

Attributes[]

Physiology[]

Unlike other Borg drones, Jack was literally born as the basis of Borg evolution, manifesting as a false positive for Irumodic syndrome with somatic symptoms of excessive sweating, respiratory issues, rashes. He had no need to regenerate through a Borg Alcove as his human metabolic system was dominant enough to maintain his health through natural sleep. His abilities stem from when his father, Jean Luc Picard, was assimilated by the collective and even after having his biomechanical implants removed, the level of genetic alterations performed on Locutus was inherited through paternity.

Jack's body was swarming with microscopic robotic devices called 'nanoprobes', similar to nanotechnology, for the primary purpose of assimilation, as well as to help maintain and even repair his mechanical and biological components on a microscopic level. Furthermore, these nanoprobes could be used for a variety of medical and technical functions, including to interface with various forms of technology to possibly reconfigure or influence it, as well as modify to attack specific cells like viruses, infections, even radiogenic mutations. Unlike Borg drones, he was not equipped with assimilation tubules - the primary means of nanoprobe transfer, instead, he transferred them through pores on his skin. Body oils, sweat, even pheromones, saliva, and breath. In high-stress situations, his nanoprobes emitted a nano-electronic pulse as a radiogenic burst of energy capable of temporarily disabling nearby electronic equipment. As of present, his body contained 3.6 million nanoprobes, self-replicating, with his body naturally laced with stabilizing metals such as lithium ions - dependent on them, if his biochemistry is disturbed in any way he will begin to crave such metallic compounds. Jack's nanites had unique encoding sequences, making them easily identifiable as his.

In addition, he had considerable superior physical characteristics over most Humans and other species; due to high-end neurachem modifications he has superior sensory capabilities with his visual acuity being improved, along with an eidetic memory and superior physical strength for a healthy Human male of his age and bodily mass and/or exercise regime. Jack has physical strength roughly comparable to that of a Vulcan, possibly greater than Klingons, as well as enhanced reflexes.

On numerous occasions he has survived situations well beyond the capacity of normal humans, such as being thrown through a concrete wall, enduring phaser strikes set to stun, tanking explosions, and much more. He is resistant to many forms of radiation, including chroniton and subnucleonic radiation that would quickly kill an ordinary Human without inoculation.

In addition to his sensory abilities, he could also function as a 'human scanner', essentially as a Tricorder able to gather, analyze, and record data and visualise everything within the EM spectrum (similar to a Federation VISOR), as well as view the nanoscale to analyze every facet and dimension of any object in perfect detail, and save perfect representations of those objects in physical memory. He could also observe the geometry of multi-dimensional space-time, generate floor plan views, locate bio-signs, and quantum date objects yielding generally accurate results.

His enhanced Borg physiology also had its downsides, such as being prone to malfunctions or failures or receiving unwanted transmissions from the Borg Queen or other Borg devices. As the result of an infected Borg vinculum that had identified him as an errant drone and was trying to reintegrate him into the collective, he was thrown into severe pain.

31st Century Adaption[]

When he interacted with the local technology of the 31st century, his biomechanical systems functionally assimilated the technology and derived a number of 'upgrades'. This included internal transporter nodes, multi-dimensional adaptability, and multi-spatial personal shields along with interphasic matter shifting, etc.

The internal transporter nodes enabled him to transport himself and others from one location to another, similar to that of Federation starship transporters, requiring 1.5 seconds for the matter-to-energy-to-matter conversion, and required 30 seconds in between transports to recharge. He acquired this ability from assimilating 31st century tricom badges.

Multi-dimensional adaptability enables Jack to adapt to a variety of ailing circumstances, along the maxim of "what doesn't kill me, makes me stronger". While the interphasic matter shifting involved nanotech forming over his knuckles and allowed Jack to pass through solid matter and electromagnetic energy such as forcefields.

Finally, the multi-spatial personal shields, involved his epidermis being laced with a nano-fiber defense mesh capable of reacting to incoming projectiles and generating a close-to-body energy field linked to his multidimensional adaptability which absorbs the kinetic forces and repels the stored energy as a pulse carrying concussive force.

Section 31 training[]

Classified as Beta 4895 Omega, during Changeling infiltration of Starfleet including Section 31, Jack was unwittingly kidnapped and subjected to painful experimentation and torture to study his Borg DNA and turn him into a weapon.

Described as 'bleeding edge' in the late 24th century-early-25th century, his mind was actually pulled apart in a virtual simulation where they added black boxes of "conditioning" between neural layers, before being put back together with his mind "different".

This enabling subconsciously controlled amnesia responses to trauma to help him overcome torture with a subconscious process that goes over his memories in his short term faculties as it’s transitioning to long term memories, dissecting everything to store as parts for the conditioning to assemble later to form a plan or answer a mystery.

Experimenting with injections of prototype medicine, rationalised as removing his remorse, basically they turned him into a highly trained sociopath. Going beyond sociopathy, in fact. The instant he believes that killing people is the fastest, most convenient method to achieve his goals he'll start slaughtering left and right without remorse and with utmost efficiency.

Abilities[]

"They literally programmed you to kill."
— Jean-luc Picard to Jack
  • Master Assassin/Combatant: Putting the Tal Shiar and Obsidian Order to shame, Jack is an extremely skilled and formidable hand-to-hand combatant and martial artist, excelling at improvisation and weapons handling, employing mixed martial arts that include elements of systema, karate, boxing, muay Thai, Krav Maga, and kali. Combined with his enhanced physical abilities, Jack became an extremely dangerous master assassin who can slaughter dozens of enemies alone, able to take on and even overpower Jem'Hadar.
  • Expert Tactician: Having received training in military tactics and leadership, and spent years as a soldier and covert operative, using quick thinking and resourcefulness to execute his assignments, he has proven to be an accomplished strategist and leader.

Paraphernalia[]

Equipment[]

  • Universal Translator: Worn on his wrist, it focused on interpreting the brain patterns of humanoid lifeforms in his vicinity, searching for linguistic patterns, inflections, tone, synonyms, essentially seeking out shared familiar concepts between speakers and translating between them. Allowing Jack to understand languages otherwise alien.
