John enjoyed his childhood with his family.
John attended high school and met Kyle and the two became good friends and helped each other with their classes and John applied for Starfleet Academy.

John entered Starfleet Academy and meets a fourth year cadet James T. Kirk and the two became good friends after Kirk graduated.
John runs into Kyle and meets both Jessica and Jamie and the three became good friends and helped each other out during their studies.
