Early life

John Martin was born on August 3, 2139 to James and Maria Martin in San Diego, California on Earth.

Starfleet career

Columbia

On board the Columbia he became first officer but was hurt during its first mission. He was transported back to Earth aboard the Challenger where he received medical treatment but remained in a coma for several months.

Enterprise

He was transferred to Enterprise (NX-01) by request of Captain Marcia Taylor, a recently promoted Captain and friend to John from their early day in high school together but lost touch after she moved.
