In the 2340s decade, Pohl lived with his family at the Singha refugee camp.
He would play springball in the camp with his brother and sister. (DS9 episode: "Shadowplay")
After his mother became a comfort woman for the Cardassian personnel on Terok Nor in 2346, Pohl and his family were allowed to return home. (DS9 episode: "Wrongs Darker Than Death or Night")
