The Kirk class is a technologically advanced type of dreadnought in service of the Earth Defense Force within the 32nd century.

History[]

One Kirk class vessel was stationed at the UEDF Headquarters around Earth during the 3180-3190s.

Technical data[]

Propulsion[]

FTL[]

The main faster-than-light propulsion system was a warp drive based on Alcubierre concept allowing space-time to be compressed around the exterior.

  • It can travel at a maximum speed of warp factor 9.999 with a cruising speed of factor 8

Other methods of interstellar transport was a quantum slipstream engine so long as the vessel had a supply of Benamite.

  • The average speed is 2.63×106 times the speed of light which is capable of 75,000 light years in as little as 10.4 days, assuming it didn't require significant shutdown time for maintenance or refueling.

Sub-light[]

Kirk class vessels can travel through space at sub-light speeds via nuclear fusion engines in which the plasma from the fusion reactor powers a massive magnetic coil to propel the ship. It is a form of magnetohydrodynamic or magnetoplasmadynamic thrusters.

Life support[]

  1. Oxygen generators
  2. Inertia dampeners
  3. Gravity plating
  4. Heat shield
  5. Radiation shield

Energy generation[]

The vessel is powered via multiple sources including; an anti-matter x matter drive which generated enormous amounts of power through explosive collisions releasing pure light (energy) which is then harnessed directly into FTL systems and regulated through a matrix of magnets and dilithium.

It also features several impulse reactors, fueled by deuterium, that uses a nuclear fusion process to generate energised plasma.

Tactical[]

  • Tractor beam emitters: Kirk class ships are equipped with four tractor beam generators that project beams of attenuated gravity at a target thus allowing for the manipulation of its trajectory.

Weapon systems[]

Phasers[]

It is armed with three dorsal arrays on the primary section, one for the forward, starboard and port sides. Three arrays are also located on the ventral side. Two smaller arrays cover the rear. These can fire pulsed beams of tetryon-plasma particle discharge at a target.

Torpedoes[]

Kirk class vessels are secondly armed with two fixed-focus torpedo launchers. A third launcher is set to fire dead aft and is located on the rear of the secondary hull just below a shuttlebay. They shoot out self-propelled torpedoes each equipped with either photon or quantum warheads. It has a complement of 250 (Photon) and 180 (quantum).

Defensive systems[]

  • Deflector shields: It boasted a high-capacity shield grid to protect itself from various threats, such as impacts from bolides and debris, various space-related and energetic phenomena and hostile weaponry.

Stealth systems[]

The ship is equipped with a highly advanced cloaking device that was proclaimed "perfect." It emitted no tachyons and left no residual anti-protons, the two ways that a cloaked ship could be tracked and located.
