Dinah Laurel Lance, known simply as Laurel Lance is a female Human who is a citizen of Star City and one of its most beloved public servants. She is the older sister of Sara Lance, the longtime friend of Typhuss James Halliwell and the ex-girlfriend/longtime friend of Oliver Queen, and longtime friend/ex-girlfriend of the late Tommy Merlyn. She is a lawyer who holds the position of district attorney and was previously a former legal aid attorney. However, after finding out that Sara is the vigilante known as The Canary, she was inspired to take up vigilantism, eventually joining Team Arrow and becoming the Black Canary, the second Canary of her beloved city. Laurel eventually left Team Arrow after Oliver became Mayor of Star City and became a ally of the vigilante team, the Birds of Prey. (Birds of Prey)
