Lindsay Weston (born 10 July 2336, age 53) is a female Human who is a Colonel in the Starfleet Marine Corps who is currently serving as the commanding officer of the USS Janet Fraiser under Homeworld Command's Fast Attack Wing. Recruited into the Stargate Program in 2363, Weston previously served as a member, and later the leader, of SG-19. She also served as an intelligence officer for the 102nd Intelligence Wing and the 9th Reconnaissance Wing.
Lindsay is a old friend of Vice Admiral Typhuss James Kira.
History[]
Raised in Colorado, Lindsay is the daughter of Martha and Zachary Weston. Her father taught at the University of Colorado, Denver. She graduated from Starfleet Marine Academy in 2369 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
After receiving her commission, Lindsay joined the 102nd Intelligence Wing of the Massachusetts Starfleet Marine Corps. Her first year with the 102d saw a deployment to Panama as part of Operation Coronet Nighthawk, preventing drugs from entering the United States from Central and South America. As an intelligence officer, she worked closely with Starfleet Intelligence and the Drug Enforcement Agency to gather information on potential targets.
In 2356, Lindsay was promoted to 1st Lieutenant and transferred to the 9th Reconnaissance Wing in California. She deployed to Bosnia and worked with the wing to provide intelligence for Federation forces. She worked with pilots, ground assets, and other Federation forces to provide targeting information. The wing was credited for supplying 80% of targeting operations during Operation Alpha.
During her seventh year with the 9th Reconnaissance Wing, Lindsay was briefed on the Stargate Program and was subsequently transferred to Cheyenne Mountain Complex. She was promoted to Major and joined SG-19, one of Stargate Command’s covert operations teams. Lindsay's time with SG-19 saw several engagements with the Goa'uld, providing tactical support and gathering intelligence on Goa’uld strongholds. Weston took command of SG-19 in 2365 and was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel. In 2379, the Ori began their crusade in the Milky Way galaxy and SG-19 deployed to gather intelligence on the Ori priors.
With the rise of the Lucian Alliance threat in 2381, gate travel became exceedingly dangerous. The SGC’s covert operations teams were deployed more frequently as the Alliance’s territory grew. Although SG-19 did not join Homeworld Command’s undercover operations, they scouted Alliance-held planets and provided reports on their numbers, and technology. In 2386, Weston was offered command of the latest deep space carrier, the USS Janet Fraiser.
