The McCall-class was a Federation shuttlecraft class in service with Starfleet in the late 24th century. It was specifically designed to be more like a fighter than a transport, as evidenced by its armaments, defenses, flight and maneuverability. It resembled the Type-17 shuttlecraft. Service history[]
The Sovereign-class starship USS Enterprise-E had at least four of the McCall-class shuttlecraft assigned to its auxiliary vehicle complement in, or after the year 2378. These small craft docked in the main shuttlebay, suspended from the ceiling when not required. (Ships of the Line 2011)
Two of these shuttles, shuttle 227 and shuttle 469, deployed from the Enterprise's stardrive section after the starship had performed a saucer separation in a planetary system. (Ships of the Line 2015)
In the 2380s decade, numerous shuttles of this class serviced the orbital and surface facilities of the Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards at Mars during the construction of the Wallenberg-class refugee fleet.
On April 5, 2385, many McCall-class shuttles were destroyed during the Attack on Mars perpetrated by Zhat Vash-controlled synth ships. (PIC episode: "Maps and Legends")
