The Mobulai-class was a type of frigate used as a scout starship and carrier-based attack ship by the Xindi-Aquatics beginning in the mid-22nd century.
History[]
In 2154 at least five Mobulai-class vessels were fielded alongside a Narcine class cruiser among a fleet eployed by the Xindi to help the Enterprise NX-01 destroy the Xindi superweapon before it could reach Earth. One was disabled by the Insectoid/Reptilian fleet, while another was destroyed by Dolim's Contortrix class flagship. Two others were crippled by spatial anomalies generated by the Sphere Builders.
Mobulai-class vessels were used during the Xindi War of 2379 and used in 2388 and in 2389 after the war. Mobulai-class vessels remained in the Xindi Council's inventory when they emerged from self-imposed isolation in 2410. The then-current version of the Narcine-class carried four.
