The Nebula class is a type of Federation starship design operated by Starfleet in a potential 31st century.

Design[]
The Nebula class was composed of two hull sections; the saucer-shaped primary hull mounted atop the secondary hull, with two warp nacelles mounted on either side of the secondary hull, directly below the primary hull.
Atop the primary hull was a superstructure which could support a variety of modules, such as the inclusion of a triangular platform, fitted with torpedo launchers, an oval platform, or additional warp nacelles.

Energy generation[]
It is fitted with a matter x antimatter reactor which generated enormous amounts of power through explosive collisions releasing pure light (energy) which is then harnessed directly into FTL systems and regulated through a matrix of magnets and dilithium.
The class also utilises a series of impulse reactors, fueled by deuterium, which makes use of a nuclear fusion process to produce energised plasma that is then distributed to the systems.
Tactical[]
- Tractor beam emitters: The class featured multiple tractor beam generators that project beams of attenuated gravity at a target thus allowing the manipulation of its trajectory.
Weapon systems[]
Phasers[]
The class is armed with standard arrays of phase emitter strips that fire pulsed beams of nadion particle discharge at a target.
Phaser positions included the forward-most part of the primary hull, and on the secondary hull, below the deflector dish.
Torpedoes[]
The typical torpedo arsenal of the Nebula class included a launch bank located on the secondary hull above the deflector dish, and one torpedo launcher located on the superstructure located above the primary hull.
It has a complement of 50 photon torpedoes.
Defensive systems[]
- Deflector shields: It is protected by deflector shields composed out of electromagnetic energy infused with gravitational waves. They absorb kinetic impacts and energy discharge for a limited time.
Propulsion[]
FTL[]
It is fitted with a class 8A warp engine that works by generating warp fields to form a subspace bubble that enveloped the starship, distorting the local spacetime continuum and moving the starship at velocities that could greatly exceed the speed of light.
Sub-light[]
The class has sub-light drives consisting of nuclear fusion powered engine in which the plasma from the fusion reactor fuels a massive magnetic coil to propel the ship. It is a form of magnetohydrodynamic or magnetoplasmadynamic thrusters.
