Phoenix planet is a planet that has a Stargate. The world is the location of Stargate Command's Phoenix Site. (RPG: "In Ruins")

Overview[]

The planet has a ring system formed by dust, debris, and ice, which produce Meteor showers most nights. Troops call the rocks that burn up in the atmosphere "Haven fireworks". The planet also has breathable air, drinkable water and flora and fauna that can be consumed, such as an apple-peach.

The planet's topside has ruins as well as tunnels underground. (RPG: "Core Rulebook")

History[]

The planet was originally settled by the Ancients. They built an underground laboratory that contained a Seismic controller that would control the planet's seismic activity. At some point they abandoned it.

At some point, "Tomb raiders" stripped what Ancient technology they could access on the planet. (RPG: "In Ruins")

In 2363, Taweret scouted the planet in a Tel'tak. She incorrectly believed it didn't have a Stargate, choose it as the location for her engineered symbiote facility, which was hidden under a river. She and Apophis tried to hide it from the System Lords. (RPG: "Watershed")

In April 2365, SG-1 performed an advanced recon of the site code named Phoenix. In August, the planet became the location of Stargate Command's Phoenix Site. It also became a place for HOME settlers. The town of Haven was created, which contains districts for different races; Aturen, Tok'ra, Jaffa, Human and Unas. (RPG: "Core Rulebook", "Groundbreaking")

The town of Haven began having water problems. Two years after Taweret had arrived on the planet, her symbiote facility was discovered by Phoenix-1. They had investigated the cause of the river's water level dropping, which was due to her facility flooding. The Council of Haven voted on the fate of the facility, which was decided that they would keep it to exploit its research and resources. (RPG: "Watershed")

By 2366, the planet's population had grown a lot due to the resettlement of refugees of the System Lords into Haven. Tok'ra tunnel crystals were used to expand the base for both for staff and also as survival shelters if Haven ever needed to be temporarily evacuated.

The planet's seismic activity from 2365, had increased as the Seismic controller's control crystals had disintegrated from old age. (RPG: "In Ruins")

Animals[]

Some indigenous creatures include Rac'ta, Proto-crocs, Tuna-shrimp, Goat-dogs, Mutant-raccoons, Leeches, and giant rats. Other creatures also include the Pa'tash. (RPG: "Core Rulebook", "Watershed")
