Rey Halliwell, a power-sensitive female Human, who is a scavenger who ultimately became a slave to the Der'kal Empire. Rey learned to survive on her own, becoming a talented mechanic, pilot and combatant, although she remained hopeful that she would escape from the Der'kal Empire. Rey was the only name she went by prior to assuming the Halliwell surname.
In 2387, events drew her away from her second homeworld and into the galactic conflict between the Federation and the Der'kal Empire. Though initially unaware of her powers, Rey's powers would manifest during the waning days of the war, consequently leading her on the path to becoming a hero under the guidance of Captain Kira.
Born in 2368, Rey spent much of her time in solitude eking out a life as a scavenger and mechanic in the Jakku desert. Abandoned by her parents at an early age, she learned to survive without a family by scavenging various materials from the battlefield of the last conflict in the Der'kal Civil War, all the while honing her skills as a warrior and pilot.
Everything changed for the scavenger when she encountered Starfleet officers Typhuss James Kira and John Martin in 2387, during the waning days of the Federation-Der'kal War.
Compelled to help the Federation, Rey befriended Typhuss and John as well as the war veterans Samantha Carter and Jack O'Neill, while attempting to escape from the Der'kal during the Battle of Takodana. She also found a nemesis in Kylo Ren, who fell to the dark side and became a champion of the Der'kal Empire.
After the battle of Takodana, Rey became a ally of the Federation, believing the galaxy would fall to the Der'kal Empire unless she intervened.
Rey gradually turned to Ren as the galaxy's last hope. The insight she gained into Ren through their power-bond convinced Rey that there was still good within him. Rey confronted Ren in person, believing he could be turned to the light with her help. Yet despite her faith in Ren, who indeed betrayed his master, Supreme Leader Vur'naa, Ren chose to remain on the dark path. After rejecting Ren's offer to rule the galaxy together, Rey rescued the surviving Federation forces on Crait, thereby preventing the Federation's complete annihilation at the hands of Kylo Ren. Rey became a hero and continued her training as a hero.
In 2392, Rey would fight in the Second Federation-Der'kal War and help the Fedration win the war.
In 2393, Rey assumed the name "Halliwell" to honor her new family after Patty Halliwell adopted her. Rey would continue to have adventures with her adoptive brother Typhuss James Kira and in 2394 Rey was present at the Battle of Exegol, the final and decisive battle of the second war with the Der'kal Empire.
6 months after the Battle of Exegol, Rey and her adoptive brother Typhuss James Kira would soon fight in a new war, the Federation-Der'kal Order War against the newly formed Der'kal Order. This war was a year-long conflict between the United Federation of Planets and the Der'kal Order, the war with the Der'kal Order finally ended in 2395.
