The Tajtiq class was a small fghhter-type starship used by the Klingon Defense Force and Klingon privateers from the 22nd century.
Technical specifications[]
The class was 70 meters long and could be crewed by up to five personnel. It was armed with disruptors which were located on the wing-tips. Its warp engines are located atop the main body.
Ships of the class were in use atmospheric craft on Qo'noS in Voq's youth, several years before 2256.
History[]
A Tajtiq class fighter was commanded by a Klingon Augment, Lieutenant Laneth.
In 2154, Laneth's starship attacked and destroyed a Rigelian freighter that kidnapped Phlox from Earth. The Klingon ship then transported Phlox to the Qu'Vat colony.
Later, Laneth's starship engaged Enterprise (NX-01), which was analyzing the freighter's debris. During the engagement, a boarding party was dispatched, and planted a computer virus on board Enterprise. In the process of the raid, one of Laneth's crew members, Marab, was captured while attempting to return to his ship.
