Typhuss James Halliwell, he is also known by his birth name Typhuss James Roberts, he is called Typhuss James Halliwell-Kira by his wife Kira and known by his married name Typhuss James Kira is a male Human Starfleet officer who served aboard the Intrepid-class starship USS Voyager, for her seven-year voyage in the Delta Quadrant as science officer aboard Voyager. (Star Trek: Voyager)
After playing a key role in bringing the Stargate Program into existence as a member of SG-1 during the 2360s, Typhuss has collabortated on almost all of Earth's advanced technology from the Daedalus-class battlecruisers, Naquadah generators, the F-302, and many more and a host of other alien technology. His expertise has saved Earth from attack numerous times and his knowledge, wisdom and courage have held him in high regard among many other Humans. Upon Voyager's return to the Alpha Quadrant, Typhuss was promoted to Captain and given the command of the Galaxy-class starship USS Intrepid. The highlights of his career were centered around assignments as commanding officer of the Federation starships: the USS Zeus, the USS Intrepid, and the USS Intrepid-A. Typhuss along with his Bajoran wife Kira Nerys has a deep central belief in the Bajoran faith of their Gods, the Prophets. (Star Trek: Intrepid)
Typhuss is the sidekick/good friend of Oliver Queen, Typhuss became a vigilante and member of Team Arrow, becoming Oliver's sidekick and vigilante partner using Red Arrow as his codename and stylized as the "Red Archer" by the media and the people of the city when he first began his vigilante career in Starling City. Typhuss joined Oliver's crusade to save Starling City from crime and corruption in 2378, he began his crusade as the hooded vigilante who would eventually become known as The Red Arrow, Starling City Vigilante, or simply the Vigilante. As the Red Arrow, Typhuss was willing to use lethal force. After the Undertaking, Typhuss vowed never to kill again unless absolutely necessary, renaming himself Red Arrow. After stopping the terrorist organization H.I.V.E., and its leader Damien Darhk, from completing Genesis, soon after Typhuss was made the SCIS liaison to the Mayor of Star City.
Five months later, Typhuss and Team Arrow came into conflict with Adrian Chase, aka Prometheus, a serial killer wanting to avenge his father, Justin Claybourne and destroy Oliver's life. When Chase's team captured Oliver's friends and family, their final confrontation was met on Lian Yu. While Oliver freed everyone, including his illegitimate son, William Clayton, Chase killed himself to detonate bombs placed all over Lian Yu in an attempt to kill everyone on it.
After the events on Lian Yu, Typhuss and Team Arrow also had to deal with Cayden James who planned to destroy Star City after believing Oliver killed his son, Owen Post. After defeating James, it gave rise to his true manipulator Ricardo Diaz who subsequently began to take control of Star City's government by using all of James' assets and amass a huge army.
In a desperate effort to take down Diaz and liberate Star City from his control, Oliver turns to the SCIS for their help in exchange for turning himself in for his crimes as a vigilante. Although they failed to capture Diaz, the city was taken back and Oliver publicly confessed he was Green Arrow before being sent to Slabside Maximum Security Prison.
During the time that Oliver was in prison, Typhuss began working with Earth-2 Laurel Lance to build a case against Lex Luthor to arrest him, Typhuss and Laurel became friends during that time. After Typhuss revealed his identity to the public and Starfleet, the media referred to him as the "Vigilante Admiral".
Oliver was released six months after Ricardo Diaz was captured, and was faced with the emergence of his half-sister Emiko Adachi, who was using the Green Arrow's name and motives. Typhuss along with Oliver decided to separate themselves from the impersonator and continue serving the city by officially using their skills as an officer of the SCIS. After the Chimera Incident, Typhuss and the rest of the team were also deputized. After ending the conflict with Emiko and the Ninth Circle, Typhuss along with Dinah Drake and Earth-2 Laurel continue to fight criminals in Star City and protect the city.
Typhuss was able to survive the Anti-Monitor Crisis due to Q saving him from the antimatter wave and took him to the Q Continuum, but his friends on Team Arrow were killed by antimatter, Q restored Earth-1 at the request of Typhuss.
Typhuss is currently one of 7 surviving individuals in the multiverse, along with Kate Kane, Kara Danvers, Barry Allen, Ryan Choi, J'onn J'onzz, Jennifer Pierce and Lex Luthor.
After Team Arrow was killed by antimatter, Typhuss became its new leader and he took on the mantle of Green Arrow, to carry on Oliver's legacy in Star City as a hero. After Typhuss was mysteriously transported to Earth-Prime, he found out that his friends were alive and helped defeat a Deathstroke gang and Adrian Chase/Prometheus from an alternate Earth, called Earth-51. (Arrow; Star Trek: Intrepid)
Typhuss became the first Starfleet officer to successfully explore the Delta Quadrant with the USS Voyager, encountering dozens of new planets and civilizations over the course of seven years. While there, Typhuss and Voyager also survived numerous encounters with the Borg. (Star Trek: Voyager)
In the early 25th century, Typhuss was scheduled to give a speech during Frontier Day. During Captain Vadic's attack on the USS Titan-A, Typhuss was present when Riker was temporarily placed in command by the Titan-A's commanding officer, Captain Liam Shaw. (PIC episodes: "The Next Generation", "Disengage", "Seventeen Seconds")
Typhuss's heroism during his long Starfleet career earned him a promotion to the rank of Vice Admiral in 2388 and Admiral in 2409. His usual salutation was Admiral. (Star Trek: Intrepid)

Biography
Background information
In the far, distant past, at least one Ancient became an ancestor in Halliwell's family line, passing down the Ancient Technology Activation gene to him.
Early life
Typhuss was born in 2333 on August 18th in San Francisco, California on Earth to Patty Halliwell and Victor Bennett. (Star Trek: Intrepid)
Typhuss was named after his great great grandfather, Typhuss James Halliwell who was the Captain of the USS Excalibur in 2278. (Star Trek: Excalibur)
At some point in 2370 he also met and befriended Laurel Lance. He also met Oliver Queen at the same time and the two became friends.
Typhuss also met Laurel's sister Sara Lance in 2370 and they became friends. (Star Trek: Intrepid)
Destruction of the Iowa
In 2350, Typhuss and his mother were on board the USS Iowa for a visit with his grandfather, Admiral Jonathan James Halliwell. Then the Iowa came under attack by a Romulan warbird. When the Romulans discovered the Iowa, they quickly charged their weapons, and the Iowa went to red alert and began fighting off torpedoes launched from the Romulan vessel. The first hit took out the warp drive and reduced main power to 38%. The second torpedo disabled the Iowa's atmospheric stabilization and collapsed its shields. The Iowa was easily overcome, Jonathan immediately ordered evasive action and the firing of all weapons, and the Iowa began taking fire from the Romulan vessel again. Typhuss took over tactical when the tactical officer was killed. Knowing that the Iowa would be no match for the onslaught of torpedoes from the Romulan ship 12 mintues later, Halliwell ordered General Order 13: the evacuation of the ship. Cadet Halliwell stayed for four or five mintues to fight the Romulan warbird before being ordered to adandon ship. Typhuss made it to the shuttle where his mother was on board.
Once all shuttlecraft had been launched, Halliwell used the Iowa to cover their escape. With no other options left, he plotted a collision course, intending to use the ship's autopilot to ram the Romulan warbird. Halliwell was, however, forced to remain on the Iowa, rather than join his daughter and grandson aboard shuttle 37, when it was discovered that the warbird had destroyed the Iowa's autopilot function, leaving him to pilot the ship manually. Halliwell then piloted the ship until it rammed into the Romulan warbird, severely damaging it.
The Iowa was destroyed, but Halliwell's sacrifice ensured the survival of the escaping shuttles, his sacrifice saved the lives of some 800 people, including those of his daughter and grandson. The shuttles were rescued by Starfleet a week later after the destruction of the USS Iowa.
Starfleet Academy
Typhuss entered Starfleet Academy in 2350 at the age of 17. Typhuss took classes to become a bridge officer. Typhuss also took fighting classes so he knew how to fight. Typhuss took Interspecies Protocol in his first year at the academy. In 2350, Typhuss took the Kobayashi Maru scenario. Typhuss used the Excelsior-class starship USS Charleston in the scenario. Typhuss engaged two Romulan warbirds. Typhuss destroyed one Romulan warbird and disabled the other. Then destroyed the freighter, backing up his decision by suggesting that more than likely the crew was dead, and it was just a trap. He also reasoned that the crew would prefer this to capture and torture from their adversaries. Typhuss James Halliwell recorded one of the highest scores for the test in the Academy's history.
Typhuss also took Zero-G combat training in his second year at the academy. Typhuss also took classes such as Engineering, Klingon Physiology, Survival Strategies, Temporal Mechanics and Transporter Theory in his third year at the academy. Typhuss also took classes such as Forensic Psychology, Basic Warp Design, Advanced hand-to-hand combat and Early Starfleet History in his fourth year at the academy. During his years in the academy, he met John Taggart, who he became freinds with.
In 2353, when Typhuss was a third year cadet, he encountered Helen Magnus on Earth, the woman who saved him three years ago from thugs attacking him. Upon graduation in 2354, the two were assigned to duty aboard Starbase 32. In 2354, Typhuss graduated from Starfleet Academy. After graduation from Starfleet Academy, Typhuss took more training and became a science officer. Typhuss was promoted to Ensign, and assigned to the USS Zeus. Typhuss was also assigned to Starbase 32. Later that year Typhuss was assigned to work in Starfleet Intelligence and was promoted to Lieutenant Junior Grade.
All Starfleet officers who accepted assignment to Starfleet Intelligence or the Security and Tactical Division of the Starfleet Support Services Section were subjected to an accelerated course of SFMC training in a holographic environmental simulator program called "The Crucible." Typhuss was subjected to an accelerated course of SFMC training in a holographic environmental simulator program called "The Crucible." This program had the effect of subjecting the prospective Starfleet Marine to the equivalent of four long years of SFMC training in the span of only two short weeks.
Early career
Starbase 32
Upon graduation in 2354, Typhuss was assigned to duty aboard Starbase 32 as science officer. Typhuss served on Starbase 32 for 7 months.
The USS Zeus
In 2354, Typhuss served on the USS Zeus, a Ambassador-class starship as science officer along with his wife Samantha Carter with the rank of Ensign and later Lieutenant Junior Grade. Typhuss also served as third officer aboard the USS Zeus. When his captain was killed during a battle with a Cardassian warship in the Beloti sector, Typhuss took command of the Zeus, serving as captain from 2354 to 2355. The doctors tired to save Thomas Johnson but his wounds were too bad and he died. In 2355, the Zeus was involved in a truce offering by the Federation in the Beloti sector. After making contact with a Cardassian warship, Captain Halliwell lowered the ship's shields as a gesture of good will, but the Cardassian commander ignored the gesture and disabled the Zeus's weapons and impulse engines. The Zeus retreated from the sector with the warship in pursuit, the Zeus managed to regroup and flee. In 2355, Halliwell relinquished command of the Zeus.
Federation-Cardassian War
Typhuss fought in the Federation-Cardassian War from 2354 until 2366. When his captain was killed during a battle with a Cardassian warship in the Beloti sector, Typhuss took command of the Zeus serving as captain from 2354 to 2355. The Zeus retreated from the sector with the warship in pursuit, the Zeus managed to regroup and flee.In 2355, Halliwell relinquished command of the Zeus. Although fighting ended in 2366 when a ceasefire was agreed between the two powers, the state of war wasn't formally ended until 2370 with the signing of the Federation-Cardassian Treaty of 2370.
The USS California
In 2355, Typhuss served on the USS California, a Excelsior-class starship as science officer along with his wife Samantha Carter with the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade. Typhuss and Samantha served on the California from 2355 to 2359, during that year Typhuss divorced Samantha Carter after five years of marriage.
Starfleet Intelligence
In 2354, Typhuss James Halliwell joined Starfleet Intelligence. Typhuss's boss within Starfleet Intelligence is Director Jennifer Shepard. During his early days at Starfleet Intelligence, Typhuss worked with agents Nikita Mears, Michael Bishop, Alexandra Udinov, Seymour Birkhoff, Sonya, Sam Matthews, Sean Pierce, Ryan Fletcher and went on many missions with them. Typhuss also worked with Pamela Landy in the 2350s, 2360s and 2370s during his days as a SI agent and SI operative. Typhuss worked with Kiera Cameron, Claire Denham, Gracie Hart, Janet McKaren, Sam Fuller, Fox Mulder and Dana Scully in the 2360s and 2370s.
In 2385, Shepard was replaced as Director of Starfleet Intelligence by Vice Admiral Marta Batanides. Typhuss had to get used to his new Director, Vice Admiral Marta Batanides. Vice Admiral Batanides made Shepard Director of Covert Ops. As of 2388 Shepard is still Director of Covert Ops. By 2389, Shepard was still Director of Covert Ops.
Assignment to the X-Files
In March 2360, Typhuss attended a meeting where his career was reviewed by SI Division Chief Scott Blevins. He was instructed by Section Chief Blevins to work with Fox Mulder, whom he already knew by reputation. Because of Blevins' belief that Mulder had developed a consuming devotion to the X-files, Typhuss was assigned to assist his new partner in his investigations of the files, to write field reports on their activities, and to provide observations on the validity of their work.
Re-opening of the X-Files
In 2389, the X-Files were re-opened when Vice Admiral Marta Batanides was contacted by Tad O'Malley with compelling new evidence about an abduction conspiracy.
Galen border conflicts
Typhuss fought in the Galen border conflicts on the planet Castal I. The Galen border conflicts were a series of skirmishes between the United Federation of Planets and the Talarian government, fought over a three-day period in the late 2350s. Although technologically inferior to the Federation, the Talarians compensated by a willingness to fight to the death and the employment of unconventional guerrilla tactics. One such tactic was to send out a general distress call from an abandoned Talarian observation craft, then triggering the ship's auto-destruct program when Starfleet personnel beamed aboard to investigate. This tactic was responsible for some 219 fatalities over a three day period during the conflict.
The conflict took place over several border planets, including Castal I and Galen IV. In 2357, the Federation colony on Galen IV was overrun and destroyed by Talarian forces, who saw the Federation colonists as encroaching on their territory. There was only one survivor: a four-year-old Human boy named Jeremiah Rossa. His parents had been killed, and Jeremiah was adopted by the Talarian captain Endar, who had led the attack. Endar, who lost his own son earlier at Castal I, had acted on a quid pro quo basis in accordance with Talarian tradition.
Eventually, a peace agreement was signed between the two powers, which included the return of all prisoners of war. Relations between the two powers remained cordial until 2367, when Jeremiah was rescued from a disabled observation craft by the USS Enterprise-D. War nearly erupted again when Endar demanded the return of his adopted son, whom he had named Jono, while Jeremiah's natural relatives wished for him to be returned to the Federation. An armed conflict was averted when Captain Jean-Luc Picard decided to return Jono to the Talarians, since it is that home which he had known most of his life.
Starfleet Criminal Investigative Service
Special Victims Unit and Gibb's SCIS team
In 2360, Typhuss James Halliwell joined the Starfleet Criminal Investigative Service and Special Victims Unit (SVU). Typhuss became Olivia Benson's partner in SVU, from 2360 to 2371. Gibbs then put Anthony DiNozzo , Caitlin Todd, Typhuss James Halliwell and later Timothy McGee and, following Kate's death in 2370, Ziva David onto his SCIS team. In 2361, Olivia and Typhuss were chasing an Andorian pirate named Sha'Kev, after Sha'Kev killed a Starfleet Ensign named Masaro. Later Sha'Kev escaped to New York city with Olivia and Typhuss following him. Later Olivia and Typhuss captured Sha'Kev. Sha'Kev was placed in a Federation prison.
In 2362, Olivia and Typhuss were ordered to track down former Starfleet Lieutenant Milo Surgant and former Cardassian Glinn Betras. Olivia and Typhuss later found Milo Surgant and Betras at a spaceport on Andoria. Milo Surgant and Betras were able to escape the two SCIS officers when Orion pirate Siroc transported them to his Orion raider.
In 2366, Olivia and Typhuss were ordered to track down former Starfleet Lieutenant Milo Surgant and former Cardassian Glinn Betras again. This time they were able to arrest former Starfleet Lieutenant Milo Surgant and former Cardassian Glinn Betras. Orion pirate Siroc was unable to transport Milo Surgant and Betras to his raider because the USS Enterprise-D disabled their transporters.
In 2377, after Typhuss returned to Earth, he became Olivia's partner again in SVU. (Star Trek: Helena episode: "The Return Home")
In 2389, Typhuss thought about resigning from SVU. Typhuss chose not to retire from SVU after his aunt Reba was attacked. (Star Trek: Kingston episode: "Resignation")
Stargate Program
In 2360, Typhuss joined the Stargate Program and SG-1 under the command of Colonel Jack O'Neill. Typhuss was initially involved with the Earth Stargate Program and later became a leading member on the Atlantis Expedition and also a member of the expedition's flagship team, the First Atlantis Reconnaissance Team, having been involved with the Earth Stargate Program for many years prior to becoming a member of the Atlantis Expedition. When he joined the expedition to Starbase Atlantis, he was very eager to be part of the expedition.
In 2365, after the discovery of an interdimensional device termed as an Quantum Mirror, Samantha and Typhuss while reviewing scans of an unmanned probe sent into the mirror, they had discovered the remains of a heavily armed ship within this other reality along with several pieces of technology left in tact. Utilizing a portable tractor grid to drag it in Sam and Typhuss discover several new technologies along with a mechanical repair unit that appeared quite similar to a Earth/alien hybrid probe that was discovered by Captain James T. Kirk in the 2260s.
The USS Kansas
In 2360, Typhuss served on the USS Kansas, a Galaxy-class starship as science officer with the rank of Lieutenant. Typhuss served on the Kansas from 2360 to 2371. In 2367, Typhuss was temporary assigned to the USS Brattain, a Miranda-class starship as the science officer. Two days before the Brattain mysteriously disappeared, Typhuss transferred back to the USS Kansas. In 2370, Typhuss formed close friendships with Philippa Georgiou and Ellen Landry, to this day Philippa and Ellen are his closest friends after their time on the Kansas. Then Typhuss was assigned to the USS Voyager, a Intrepid class starship as science officer. In 2371, the USS Kansas's mission was to meet the USS Yorktown at Deep Space 9 for final crew members and personnel before continuing on to the Gamma Quadrant for it’s mission of exploration. While at DS9 Captain Walker received his final orders via Commander Sisko. The standing orders were primarily exploration and the Kansas was only to fire in defence and only if communications were unavailable. Captain Walker relayed the orders to his ship and departed DS9 and entered the wormhole officially starting its first mission into the Gamma Quadrant. The Kansas came under attack from a Jem'Hadar attack ship, while retrieving one of her long range shuttles. The Kansas managed to destroy the ship after hails were ignored by the Jem'Hadar. Due to extensive damage on the star drive section, Captain Walker gave the order to return to the wormhole. The Kansas arrived at DS9 requesting permission to dock at one of the upper pylons Commander Sisko agreed. Walker gave his report to Starfleet Command via subspace. On stardate 48315.6, Typhuss leaves the Kansas after 11 years and was assigned to the USS Voyager as science officer by Captain Kathryn Janeway.
Tholian War
Typhuss fought in the Tholian War, from 2354 to 2360. During this war, the Tholians demonstrated an uncanny ability to absorb punishment while striking vulnerable Federation rear positions along with using the dangerous areas of chaotic space to their advantage. It was noted that no core Tholian colony was ever occupied and Starfleet was only able to penetrate a few parsecs into the Tholian territorial annexes. The conflict ended when the Tholians requested a truce, something that caught the Federation by surprise.
Tzenkethi War
Typhuss fought in the Tzenkethi War, from 2360 to 2364. The USS Kansas, under Captain Joseph Walker and science officer Typhuss James Halliwell, was engaged in action against the Tzenkethi during the war. During the war, the Kansas pursued three Tzenkethi raiders into an asteroid belt. Several members of the Kansas crew died during the war. The Tzenkethi War had ended by 2364.
Member of the Andorian Imperial Guard
In 2364, General Thy'lek Shran made Typhuss James Halliwell an honorary member of the Andorian Imperial Guard, after Typhuss saved Shran from Xindi troops attacking his battalion.
The USS Brattain
In 2367, Typhuss was temporary assigned to the USS Brattain, a Miranda-class starship as the science officer. Two days before the Brattain mysteriously disappeared, Typhuss transferred back to the USS Kansas. Typhuss later learned the Brattain mysteriously disappeared and was discovered by the USS Enterprise-D twenty nine days later, trapped in a Tyken's Rift near an uncharted binary star system. An investigation by the Enterprise crew discovered all but one of the ship's crew died under circumstances of violent suicides and homicides, determined to be caused by severe REM sleep deprivation. (TNG episode: "Night Terrors"; Star Trek: Intrepid)
Encounters with the Xenomorph
Nostromo Incident
In 2360, Typhuss, Ripley and Sarah first encounterd the Xenomorph on a freighter, the Nostromo. The remaining surviving Starfleet personnel and crew members ultimately decided on destroying the Nostromo in order to kill the alien. Only Lieutenants Ripley and Halliwell and Major Mackenzie escaped the destruction of the Nostromo in the shuttlecraft Narcissus. Unknown by him that the creature had also snuck onboard the shuttlecraft by camouflaging itself in a small crevice, but Ripley finally manage to kill it by blowing it out an airlock and igniting it with the engines. Ripley activates the shuttlecraft's auto pilot and sets it on a course for the Kansas. It would remain on auto pilot in space for twelve days until it was recovered by the crew of the USS Kansas. The crew was immediately transferred to the USS Kansas for medical care. Typhuss was visibly traumatized by his experience and had recurring nightmares related to the creature.
LV-426 Incident
- "I am not going back, and I can't go back and I would not be any good to you if I did."
- — Halliwell, to Burke and Gorman
In 2367, Typhuss encounterd the Xenomorph during an investigation mission on LV-426 after the colony lost contact with Starfleet Command along with Ellen Ripley, Dwayne Hicks and Sarah Mackenzie. The only survivors of the rescue attempt include Corporal Dwayne Hicks, Ellen Ripley, Newt, Sarah Mackenzie and Typhuss James Halliwell. After the mission to LV-426, Typhuss was visibly traumatized by his experience and had recurring nightmares related to the creature.
Some time later, he was approached by Burke and Lieutenant Gorman of the Starfleet Marine Corps, who delivered the news that contact with the Hadley's Hope colony had been lost. While Typhuss initially refused to take part in the proposed investigation, his recurring nightmares eventually convinced him to join the mission and confront his fears. Typhuss accompanied Burke and Gorman's marines back to LV-426 aboard the USS Sulaco on the promise that they would not capture but destroy whatever extraterrestrials they encountered.

The Sanctuary Network
- "I see great potential in you, Typhuss. Good Starfleet officers come and go, but the great ones have always seen beyond the boundaries of science, beyond the known. The great ones dare to believe in the unbelievable."
- — Helen Magnus to Typhuss, 2370
After being recruited by Dr. Magnus in her work at the Old City Sanctuary in 2370, Typhuss discovers a new and strange world that is both unbelievable yet completely plausible to him. While his ideas have put him ahead of his time, he finds the world of "Abnormals" to be fantastical in a way he can ultimately understand. Although Typhuss was less than comfortable at first, he has proven himself invaluable in gaining the confidence of his first patient, an Abnormal child. This only serves to prove that Magnus was right about his instinct and genuine thirst to know the truth. And she knows that he will prove invaluable to the Sanctuary. His choice to stay at the Sanctuary is made after a conversation with Dr. Magnus when she reveals her deepest secrets to him. His willingness to learn and his need to know the truth prove to be important factors in Magnus's choice in Typhuss as her protegé and prove to be helpful to everyone in the Sanctuary.
Later that year Helen, Typhuss and Will Zimmerman used the Nautilus, a submarine privately owned by Helen to travel to the Bermuda Triangle to investigate the loss of contact with the merfolk. While visiting the Bermuda Triangle, Dr. Magnus, Typhuss and Will Zimmerman encounter what appears to be a massacre among the merfolk. They later discover that a parasite that infested their brains had caused the creatures to tear each other apart.
The only way to remove the parasite from the host appears to be killing the host. Typhuss was forced to do this, namely asphyxiate Magnus when she became infected with the parasite and threatened to kill them all by taking their submarine down so deep that it would have imploded. After exiting from Magnus's body the parasite was easily frozen by Typhuss before he revived Magnus.
Typhuss's status as Magnus's protegé seems to give him additional prestige within the Sanctuary Network, with some people suggesting that Magnus is grooming him to take charge of the Sanctuary Network. This is confirmed later by Magnus when she admits to Typhuss that one day Typhuss may have to lead the Sanctuary without her, suggesting that in her absence, Typhuss is the next in line to take over her position. This is further confirmed later when the House Heads for all the Sanctuary facilities worldwide unanimously decide to appoint Typhuss as the acting head of the global Sanctuary Network in the face of Magnus's disappearance. Upon Helen's return Typhuss gladly transfers control of the global network back to Helen. As Magnus's second in command, Typhuss has knowledge of all aspects of the Sanctuary Network as well as access to all of Magnus's contacts and resources.
In 2386, the Old City branch was invaded by agents of the Abnormal Insurgency, led by Caleb. Helen Magnus was able to defeat them with the help of her team. A year after the battle the Sanctuary team abonanded the Sanctuary in order to go into hiding at the new Underground Sanctuary. (Sanctuary)
Encounter with Section 31
In 2371, Agent Luther Sloan of the rogue intelligence agency called Section 31 unsuccessfully attempted to recruit Typhuss into the un-sanctioned spy agency's ranks shortly before Voyager's mission to the Badlands.
Typhuss refused, saying he didn't want to be part of a "rogue intelligence agency within Starfleet that made their own agenda and answered to nobody". (Star Trek: Intrepid episode: "Section 31")
In the Delta Quadrant
Aborad the USS Voyager
2371
In 2371, Typhuss was assigned to the USS Voyager as science officer by Captain Kathryn Janeway. Voyager's first mission was to travel into the Badlands to locate Chakotay and his Maquis crew, along with Lieutenant Tuvok, who was operating undercover.
Once the final crew complement arrived, the USS Voyager departed Deep Space 9 and headed into the Badlands. Shortly after entering the Badlands, Voyager was transported over 70,000 light years across the galaxy to the Delta Quadrant by the Caretaker, a member of the Nacene species. Eventually it was revealed that the Caretaker had pulled Voyager across the galaxy in the hopes of finding a people who could care for the nearby Ocampa. After the Caretaker's death, Janeway was forced to destroy the Caretaker's technology in order to protect the Ocampan race from the opportunistic Kazon Ogla. This act stranded Typhuss, Voyager, and both the Starfleet and Maquis crews in the Delta Quadrant. Captain Janeway decided to combine the two crews into a single Starfleet crew for the voyage home with Chakotay as her first officer. She also accepted trader Neelix and his companion Kes. (VOY episode "Caretaker")
Their hopes of returning home were renewed when Voyager came upon a micro-wormhole that ended in the Alpha Quadrant. Captain Janeway made contact with a Romulan ship captained by Telek R'Mor. They successfully transported R'Mor through the wormhole onto Voyager and to the Delta Quadrant, only to find out that that R'Mor was from twenty years in the past. Heartbroken, Captain Janeway asked R'Mor to at least transmit the crews' messages twenty years later to their loved ones. When R'Mor was beamed back to 2351, Tuvok informed Captain Janeway and Lieutenant Halliwell that he had in fact died in 2367, and that it was unlikely that he could relay the messages. (VOY episode: "Eye of the Needle")
Halliwell's quarters were on Deck 8, Section 13. (VOY episode: "Someone to Watch Over Me")
2372
Janeway then responded to a distress signal from Talaxian Captain Acrux's ship stuck in a ion storm. She was then able to use the transporters to beam Acrux's crew aboard, but they were pulled into a quantum fissure's dimensional plane. Janeway then gave Chakotay and Neelix bands that to help them return. However, Janeway became duplicitous when she thought about how the Talaxians got themselves into the situation. She and Tuvok then found out that they were Trabe agents trying to steal their technology. She then investigated energy spikes that took The Doctor and merged her holo-novel and the Beowulf holo-novel. Following that incident Janeway was then taken hostage by Acrux and his mercenaries as Trabe Captain Nagrom's ship attacked. However she was able to subdue them and fight off the Trabe ship. (VOY comics: "The Storm", "Under Ion Skies", "Repercussions")
Following that incident, Janeway was forced to look for duranium when Voyager was running low on supplies. Janeway was forced to set the phasers to 1/100 power to disable a Kazon raider. Janeway then asked Neelix where the nearest supply of duranium, which was Praja. However, Janeway was told by the Doctor that a botanical plague had devastated. Despite that, she allowed Neelix and an away team to investigate the planet. She continued to hail the planet without little success. She, the Doctor, Kim and Kes then examined the virus that poisoned the planet and found that it was not native to Praja. Janeway refused to mine the Duranium with the colonists consent despite Torres's objections. However, Janeway was able to come an arrangement with the Cambrog survivors to mine Duranium in exchange for emergency rations, supplies and to help eliminate the plague. Janeway and Voyager then came under attack by Kazon-Oglamar mining ships. Janeway then used Lieutenant Paris's idea to trick the Kazon into believing that they were crashing. Janeway was able to get the duranium for the phasers and force the Kazon to withdraw. After Janeway had the planet sprayed with healthy bacteria that would heal the planet. (VOY comics: "Homeostasis, Part One", "The Conclusion")
Tensions built up and eventually resulted in Paris and Neelix coming face to face with one another with Neelix dumping a plate of hair pasta on Paris and accusing him of sneaking around behind his back with Kes. Paris did not take kindly to the insults and before they knew it, they were engaged in a physical fight. They were able to resolve their differences when Tom and Neelix were assigned together on an away mission along with Typhuss and had to depend on each other for survival. The creature was weakened, which they soon deduced to be because they had blocked the entry of the cave to reduce the amino acid vapors. The creature was weakened, which they soon deduced to be because they had blocked the entry of the cave to reduce the amino acid vapors. They took the baby out from the cave, and the baby began to regain its strength. After bonding over their concern for the welfare of the creature, they refused to be beamed up by USS Voyager until they were sure the creature was safe. They see the adult arrive and take the baby. With a loud roar of protest at their presence, Paris called for a beam out and they were rescued. (VOY episode: "Parturition")
At the end of the year, Voyager received a message from Seska saying that she had given birth to Chakotay's son and that the child was in danger of becoming a slave to the Kazon. The crew was immediately suspicious that Seska was luring Voyager into a trap, but rallied behind Chakotay and his responsibility to his son. After recovering Tierna, one of Seska's aids, Voyager set a course toward Kazon territory. Unfortunately the crew's initial skepticism proved to be correct: Seska's message was a setup, and during the ensuing battle, Voyager was captured and the crew was marooned on Hanon IV - a desolate planet in an early stage of its evolution. (VOY: "Basics, Part I")
Tom Paris had managed to escape the ship in a shuttle and reach a nearby Talaxian colony. While stranded on a hostile planet when the Kazon took over Voyager, he helped rescue Neelix and Kes from a primitive tribe on the planet. Chakotay also won the friendship of the tribe when he saved one of them from a lava flow. With the help of the Talaxians, The Doctor, and Lon Suder, who had been mistakenly left behind during the capture of Voyager, Paris and the Talaxians were able to retake Voyager and rescue the crew on Hanon IV at the end of 2372. Seska was killed during the conflict, and her child was later found to be Maje Culluh's, Culluh taking the child with him. Voyager left Kazon space a short time later when it went to maximum warp while in a nearby nebula in 2373 to resume their course home. (VOY: "Basics, Part II")
2373-2374
Among all of his relationships with the crew, Typhuss had developed a specially close friendship with young Harry Kim. Their friendship was put to the test when they were accused of terrorist activities they did not commit and held in an Akritirian maximum security detention facility more than three hundred meters underground. There, they were controlled by a neural implant called a clamp, which induced paranoia and violence. Even though Captain Janeway was able to prove their innocence, the authorities refused to release them. The three men suffered horribly in the prison and the stress of prison and the neural implants did take its toll on the three of them: when Paris once, suffering from delirium, dismantled a tool Kim was going to use for an escape attempt, Kim and Halliwell, enraged at what Paris had done, lost control and almost killed him. Kim and Halliwell was able to stop themselves in the last minute but realized that they had gone too far. The three men fought for each other, however, and Kim nursed Paris back to health after he was stabbed by another inmate. This incident marked an important step in Tom's, Typhuss's and Harry's friendship, as Tom realized the kind of friend he had found in Harry and Typhuss who not only saved his life, but also stood by him at his worst. (VOY episode: "The Chute")
In late December 2373, Voyager unfortunately entered Borg space. However, the crew's fears were slightly assuaged when they discovered an area of space, dubbed the "Northwest Passage", which was devoid of Borg activity. After Voyager had been passed by a fleet of fifteen Borg cubes, which had ignored the Federation starship, Harry determined that the fleet had been destroyed. Deciding to investigate, Captain Kathryn Janeway ordered Lieutenant Halliwell, Harry Kim, Commander Chakotay and Lieutenant Tuvok to transport over the wreckage of a cube and investigate. Shortly after beaming over, Harry was attacked by a member of Species 8472 and wounded, his body infected by alien cells which were destroying his own. Beamed back to Voyager for emergency treatment by the Doctor and Kes, he was eventually cured after the Doctor developed a method of modifying Borg nanoprobes to attack the alien cells. Typhuss was part of the security detail which accompanied Commander Chakotay to cargo bay 2 where Captain Janeway and Tuvok as well as seven Borg drones where beamed in after their Borg cube was destroyed by Species 8472. Later, Typhuss again accompanied Chakotay when he talked to Seven of Nine about their alliance. (VOY episodes: "Scorpion", "Scorpion, Part II")
Janeway then encountered a chroniton wave that took Voyager to the Battle of Wolf 359 six years earlier. As they made they way back through anomaly, they beamed several escape pod survivors onboard. Unfortunately, she was forced to send them back into the anomaly. (VOY comic: "Ghosts")
Following Janeway's brief alliance with the Borg, she took on Seven of Nine as part of her crew. Janeway and Voyager then came under attack by a alien known as the Prospector and his drones from a ocean-wide planet. (VOY episodes: "Scorpion", "Scorpion, Part II", VOY comic: "Splashdown")
2374
When Voyager received a message from Starfleet containing personal letters from the crews' family and friends, Typhuss received a letter from home, handed out by Neelix sometime later on the bridge when Typhuss was at his station, that had been transmitted from the Alpha Quadrant over the Hirogen communications network. His sister Piper got married to her boyfriend Leo Wyatt, his family missed him and hoped that Voyager would return to the Alpha Quadrant and hoped to see him when he returned to Earth. (Star Trek: Voyager episode: "Hunters")
In 2374, while exploring a toxic, Demon-class planet, Paris, Halliwell and Kim came into contact with the planet's atmosphere and were bioformed. The planet's metallic fluid, the Silver Blood, created duplicates of Paris, Halliwell and Kim because it sought consciousness and sentience. That silver blood finally released Voyager after the crew agreed to be duplicated to populate the planet. (Star Trek: Voyager episode: "Demon")
2375
At the beginning of 2375 on Voyager, Captain Kathryn Janeway was in a coma and Harry Kim and Tom Paris were both missing and presumed dead. Now acting-captain Chakotay reorganized the senior staff and Typhuss was given Tom Paris's old position at conn. (VOY - String Theory novel: Evolution)
In 2375, the USS Voyager entered Devore space, carrying a number of telepathic Brenari refugees, who they had rescued from a freighter. The Brenari and the telepathic members of Voyager's crew were hidden in transporter suspension during the inspections. Voyager was able to bring the Brenari to an intermittent cyclical vortex out of Devore space. (VOY episode: "Counterpoint")
Later that year, Lieutenant Commander Tuvok, Ensign Tom Paris, Lieutenant Halliwell and The Doctor were on a shuttle mission in a shuttle when they encountered a subspace sinkhole which damaged their engines and threw them into a subspace pocket, within which was a three-planet system. The shuttle crash-landed on the planet, damaging The Doctor's mobile emitter and leaving the shuttle irretrievable and was taught survival techniques by Noss, an alien female who had fallen in love with Tuvok. When the crew was rescued three months later, the shuttle remains were abandoned. (VOY episode: "Gravity")
In 2375, Voyager discovered another Federation ship lost in the Delta Quadrant, the USS Equinox, captained by Rudolph Ransom. Typhuss was part of the away team to the Equinox led by Captain Janeway. Ransom explained that his ship was attacked by creatures that killed much of his crew. The crew was beamed to Voyager for medical attention and the Voyager crew attempted to repair the Equinox. Janeway discovered that the reason the creatures were attacking the Equinox was that Ransom had been capturing them and using them for fuel for the ship. Janeway confronted Ransom and arrested him and his crew. The EMH for the Equinox, which was beamed aboard Voyager, helped the crew escape back to the Equinox. They disabled Voyager, kidnapped Seven and sped away. In the meantime, the creatures attacked Voyager. (VOY episode & novelization: "Equinox")
2376
When Voyager found the Equinox, a battle ensued. When the Equinox was damaged by Voyager and attacked by the creatures, Ransom had a change of heart, dropped his shields and surrendered Seven in exchange for his crew beaming aboard Voyager.
Ransom himself stayed with his ship as it exploded. Janeway's final words to Ransom was her promise to get his crew home. Satisfied with the Equinox's destruction, the aliens ceased their attacks on Voyager. The five surviving Equinox crew members, Marla Gilmore, Noah Lessing, James Morrow, Angelo Tassoni, and Brian Sofin, were stripped of rank and ordered to serve as crewmen on Voyager, with extensive supervision and limited privileges. (VOY episode & novelization: Equinox)
During this year, Tuvok instructed Typhuss in the technique of the Vulcan nerve pinch. (Star Trek: Intrepid)
Typhuss participated in several of Tom Paris's holosimulations, including Fair Haven, and was one of the crew members who was involved in a barroom fight instigated by one of the holographic characters. (VOY episode: "Fair Haven")
In the year 2376, the USS Voyager received Anticipation's distress signal when it entered the sector. Captain Kathryn Janeway ordered to investigate and had Lieutenant Tom Paris set a course for the nebula, which was approx. 15 million kilometers away. Inside, Voyager went directly for the Anticipation. Its registry had degraded to be unreadable but Janeway recognized the Spanish escutcheon on the engineering hull. Knowing Pizarro personally, she led an away team consisting of Lieutenant Commander Tuvok, Lieutenant (j.g.) B'Elanna Torres, Lieutenant Typhuss James Halliwell, Ensign Harry Kim, Seven of Nine, Crewman Porter and two other engineers. The away team restored emergency power and Seven copied what little remained of the degraded databanks. Of the captain's log, only Pizarro's last four entries remained. While looking for spare parts in the lower hull, Torres's team was attacked by a space parasite. It captured Crewman Porter but the away team saved him and returned to Voyager. In the interim, space parasites had boarded Voyager but were hunted down by the crew. Voyager left the nebula quickly and abandoned the Anticipation among the hulks. (VOY - Strange New Worlds 6 short story: "Hidden")
When Voyager encountered a graviton ellipse, the Delta Flyer was sent in to locate the Ares IV command module, which was lost in the ellipse in 2032. The crew of Tom Paris, Chakotay, and Seven of Nine, Typhuss James Halliwell examined several artifacts trapped in the ellipse before finding the command module. While the Flyer attempted to tractor the module out of the ellipse, the ellipse was hit by a dark matter asteroid. The Delta Flyer became severely damaged and Chakotay was injured. Aboard Voyager, B'Elanna Torres devised a method to use an ion distributor from the Ares IV to repair vital components of the Flyer. Seven beamed to the Ares IV module where she located the distributor and downloaded the sensor data and logs of the Ares IV commander, John Kelly. She returned to the Flyer, with the distributor and Kelly's body. The distributor was connected to the Flyer's power systems and the shuttle was able to escape before the ellipse returned to subspace. (VOY episode: "One Small Step")
In 2376, Typhuss received a head injury during the battle with Penk's starship but was later healed by The Doctor. The hallucinatory Samantha Carter first began appearing to Typhuss on stardate 53529.4, after Voyager left the Norcadian homeworld, first on the bridge then in sickbay and then in his quarters. When Typhuss was alone in his quarters after getting his head injury healed by The Doctor, the hallucination of Samantha Carter appeared to him again. (Star Trek: Kingston episode: "The hallucination of Samantha Carter")
2377
Typhuss was also present during a screening of Attack of the Lobster People at a simulation of the Palace Theater. (VOY episode: "Repression")
In 2377, Voyager encountered a Klingon generational ship. While traveling under cloak, on stardate 54500, Kohlar's battle cruiser, the IKS Voq'leng encountered the Federation starship USS Voyager
Believing that the Klingon Empire was still at war with the Federation, Kohlar decloaked, fired on Voyager, and quickly recloaked. During the initial attack, the battle cruiser inflicted moderate damage to Voyager's port shields, causing them to drop fifty percent. Despite the initial tactical advantage, Voyager was able to detect the battle cruiser by performing a metaphasic scan, and promptly disabled the cruiser's cloaking device and forward disruptor emitters with their phasers. Kohlar, who was attempting to buy time for repairs, replied to Voyager's hail. Voyager's Captain Kathryn Janeway revealed to Kohlar that there was a treaty in effect between the two powers, and she asked that the Klingons stand down.
Unconvinced of Janeway's statement, Kohlar agreed to transport aboard Voyager to meet the ship's chief engineer, the pregnant half-Klingon B'Elanna Torres. They were on a quest to find the savior of the Klingon race, the kuvah'magh. The captain of the Klingon ship, Kohlar, believed her child to be the kuvah'magh. Upon returning to his ship Kohlar convinced his crew that he had found what they were seeking in the Delta Quadrant, the kuvah'magh: B'Elanna Torres' child. They initiated the self-destruct sequence which in turn caused a warp core breach and Janeway transported their entire crew on board to save them. Kohlar wanted B'Elanna to help him convince his crew that her child really was their savior. When she was insulted by a Klingon warrior, Tom accepted a challenge from him to defend her honor. The warrior collapsed in the battle and The Doctor discovered the Nehret, a fatal disease, caused the collapse. Because the Nehret is only contagious to Klingons, she and the baby became infected. Because of this Kohlar's group no longer believed the child could be their savior and they tried to take over Voyager, but failed. The Doctor discovered a cure to the Nehret using the baby's immune system. The Klingons finally came to believe that the baby was their savior and Janeway dropped them off on an uninhabited M-class planet. (VOY episode: "Prophecy")
While on the ship's first Starfleet-assigned mission in seven years, Typhuss, Tom Paris, Neelix and Joseph Carey were captured by a race that had been contaminated by an old Earth probe. After providing medical care for a sick infant, the away team were able to convince the inhabitants that no harm had been intended, but his crewmate, Joe Carey, was killed. After rescuing the away team and repairing the damage to the planet's atmosphere, Voyager took the probe's remains into its cargo bay and resumed a course for the Alpha Quadrant. (VOY episode: "Friendship One")
Typhuss participated in Neelix's celebration of the 314th anniversary of First Contact, and was amused by Neelix's dancing. He later bade Neelix farewell outside the shuttlebay with the rest of the Voyager crew. (VOY episode: "Homestead")
Return to Earth
Typhuss finally returned to Earth at the end of 2377 when Voyager traveled inside a Borg sphere through a transwarp conduit into the Alpha Quadrant. (Star Trek: Voyager episode: "Endgame")
Typhuss was promoted to Captain and given the command of the Galaxy-class starship USS Intrepid. Sam was finally reunited with Typhuss at the SGC after seven years lost in the Delta Quadrant. Typhuss was so happy to see Sam that he kissed her on the lips and Sam kissed him back. Typhuss meet with Elizabeth Weir in the corridor, Weir had been made commander of the SGC. Elizabeth told Typhuss he was still a member of SG-1 as a technical officer and the third officer. (Star Trek: Helena episode: "The Return Home")
Typhuss was later instrumental in defeating a Borg plague that swept Earth upon Voyager's return. Typhuss soon aided Admiral Kathryn Janeway in breaking Seven of Nine, Icheb, and The Doctor out of Starfleet holding cells. The Voyager crew then retook their ship and was able to stop the attempted Borg assimilation of Earth. Harry was repeatedly helped by receiving secret messages from "Peregrine" whom he never discovered was actually Libby. (Star Trek: Helena episode: "The Return Home", Star Trek: Voyager novel: "Homecoming")
In 2378, Typhuss first met Kira Nerys on Deep Space 9. Typhuss and Kira soon showed an attraction to each other. Typhuss got authorization from Kathryn Janeway and The Doctor to engage in a romantic relationship with Kira Nerys. Kira took Typhuss back to her quarters and had sex with him. Typhuss and Kira dated for a week and became engaged a week later to be married. On January 7th, 2378 Typhuss married Kira Nerys aboard Deep Space 9. Typhuss took Kira's family name showing Kira that he loved her. (Star Trek: Helena episode: "The Return Home")
On November 14th, Typhuss took command of the USS Intrepid-A, a Sovereign-class starship, Typhuss assumed command shortly after the vessel's christening on stardate 5501.0. Captain Kira had a adversarial relationship with Commander Jonathan Ellis. (Star Trek: Intrepid episode: "Launch")
The ship was nearly destroyed on November 23rd by the Orions. It was rebuilt a few months later at the Antares Ship Yards in the Bajoran sector and the registry number was changed to NCC-724656-A.
In 2379 their first child, Kira Hoshi Sato, was born. Later that year, Typhuss fought in the Federation-Xindi War. In the closing days of Federation-Xindi War, Typhuss fought in the final battle, the Battle of Kaleb IV. (Star Trek: Intrepid)
In 2387, the five surviving Equinox crew members, Marla Gilmore, Noah Lessing, James Morrow, Angelo Tassoni, and Brian Sofin were ordered by Vice Admiral Kathryn Janeway to serve on the USS Intrepid-A, Typhuss was dismayed by Janeway's order. (Star Trek: Intrepid episode: "Equinox Remembrance")
Home on Bajor
Typhuss and Kira lived on Bajor, they became farmers in Dahkur Province.
Reunited with Helen Magnus
- "It has been seven years snice we last saw each other, I have missed you, Typhuss. You have a lot of work to do, shall we begin?"
- — Helen after seeing Typhuss after seven years
After seven years in the Delta Quadrant Typhuss and Helen Magnus are finally reunited at the Sanctuary. Helen told Typhuss that she missed him. Typhuss told Helen that he had missed her too and that he was happy to be reunited with her. Helen noted that he had a lot of work to do at the Sanctuary.
Return to the SGC
Typhuss returned to the SGC now under the command of General/Doctor Elizabeth Weir. Typhuss meet with Elizabeth Weir in the corridor, Weir had been made commander of the SGC. Elizabeth told Typhuss he was still a member of SG-1 as a technical officer and the third officer, Weir told Typhuss that SG-1 was now under the command of Colonel Samantha Carter. (Star Trek: Helena episode: "The Return Home")
Weir ordered him, Colonel Carter, Doctor Jackson and Commander Vala to go on a mission to PX-3432.
Return to SG-1
Mission to PX-3432
When Typhuss and SG-1 arrived on PX-3432 to form an alliance with the people of PX-3432, they were captured by the people of PX-3432. Colonel Samantha Carter and Commander Vala Mal Doran were stripped naked by force and were tied up, the men of the planet viewed women as sluts and sex objects and slaves. When Typhuss told them to let them go, they found out that he once dated Vala and was once married to Samantha, the men tied Typhuss up while Daniel was taken to a prison cell in a near by prison. Typhuss told Samantha and Vala that Weir would sent a rescue team if they didn't report back in an hour. An hour later a rescue team arrived and rescued SG-1 and Daniel Jackson. Typhuss found Carter's uniform and Vala's, they got dressed into their uniforms. Later they returned to the SGC and told Weir that an alliance with PX-3432 was not going to happen because of their views on women.
The Kirk Cabal
In 2377, after Typhuss was promoted to Captain, Elias Vaughn who had long struggled against Section 31 during his lengthy Starfleet career, recruited Typhuss into the elite, secret cabal created by Captain James T. Kirk to bring down Section 31.
Mission to PX-3R9
While investigating a heavily armed Lucian Alliance force, he and the team went to PX-3R9, one of the major planets in the Alliance. Where Cam posed as a "arms dealer" known as "Shaft" to find information on the Alliance's attack force which was thought to be used in an attack on Earth. However, after Worrel attempted to kill him, he and the team tried to escape, only to get captured again. After a day of torture, he and the team were rescued by the USS Interpid and escaped before the Alliance could track them.
Ba'al's Extraction Ceremony
In 2381, he along with SG-1, Samantha Carter, and General Jack O'Neill finally tracked down the last Ba'al clone and sent him to the Tok'ra homeworld, where they witnessed the Extraction Ceremony, the Tok'ra felt it only right that all of the current and former members of SG-1 attend the ceremony (O'Neill was a former member of the team who joined the current members, Mitchell, Typhuss, Samantha, Daniel, and Vala). It took a little over three hours for the Tok'ra to chant all of the charges against Ba'al, the last of the Goa'uld System Lords. All during this time, Ba'al was placed in a stasis chamber out of respect to the host. After all of the charges against Ba'al were presented, Ba'al was released from stasis so that he could face his executioners and give his final words. This Ba'al revealed that he might have been the last clone, but he wasn't the last Ba'al. The original still lived and wasn't traceable through a subcutaneous transmitter like the clones had been. The clone was aware of Ba'al's plan to go back in time and change the timeline in his favor by preventing the Stargate program from ever being created. The clone Ba'al bragged about Ba'al's plan, but didn't provide any details, but only that they had made a mistake in thinking that he was the last Ba'al. This was a rather unpleasant experience for Vala, who had been an unwilling host to Qetesh until the Tok'ra freed her, but she attended for the host's sake so that she could be there to offer emotional support once he was freed of the symbiote. The rest of the team returned to Earth so that they could go out to lunch with O'Neill, who promised to take them out to eat. While changing in civilian attire in the locker room, Daniel voiced the concern to Typhuss and Mitchell that the Ba'al clone might have actually been telling the truth and that they hadn't captured all of the Ba'als as they thought. What Daniel and the others didn't know was that a time traveling version of Cameron Mitchell had been aware of Ba'al's plan and gone back in time to prevent it. That version of Mitchell killed Ba'al and his Jaffa as they went back in time. Because of this act, the last of the Goa'uld System Lords had actually been killed long before SG-1 was even aware of the Goa'uld's existence.
Shinzon Incident
In October of 2378 Shinzon of Remus assassinated of all but one, (Tal'Aura) of the sitting members of the Imperial Senate of the Romulan Star Empire. Installing himself as the next Praetor, Shinzon sought revenge against the Romulans for their brutal oppression of the Reman people. Typhuss was ordered by Admiral Kathryn Janeway to join Star Fleet Battle Group Omega deployed in Sector 1045 and was charged with preventing the Reman warbird Scimitar from reaching Earth and launching a deadly thalaron weapon. The USS Enterprise-E was to rendezvous with the Battle Group, but was instead ambushed in the Bassen Rift by the Scimitar. Upon receiving news from Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the existence of the weapon, Admiral Janeway immediately ordered the vessels nearest to his position to the Bassen Rift, hoping the interference would stop the Remans from calling for reinforcements. The effects would also prevent the Scimitar from detecting the hiding fleet, in hopes of a surprise attack. However, the Enterprise was attacked before they could reach the fleet, and the effects of the Bassen Rift also disabled their communications. Several minutes after the Enterprise's expected arrival time had passed, the fleet moved to find their last known position. Although they arrived late, the nine starships found the Scimitar and its thalaron weapon destroyed. Although the Enterprise had suffered heavy damage and casualties, the fleet joined a Romulan warbird's attempt to assist the Enterprise, towing her out of the rift until her engines could be repaired. In spite of his short life and the brief duration of his coup -- the assassination of the Senate and Shinzon's death occured within three days of one-another -- the enormity of Shinzon's impact cannot be overstated. The Romulan Star Empire was left in chaos; the Imperial Fleet was fractured-both in a power vacuum. Tal'Aura later claimed praetorship, but this was opposed by several different factions, including Donatra's faction of the Imperial Fleet. His coup also led to the liberation of the Remans and a state of near-civil war between the Romulans and Remans and between the Romulans themselves for nearly a year afterwards. Eventually, the Remans were relocated to the planet Klorgat VII and Tal'Aura consolidated her praetorship; however, Donatra's faction of the Imperial Fleet remained rogue until December of 2380 when, in orbit of Achernar Prime, Donatra proclaimed the existence of the Imperial Romulan State and her own status as its empress. The Romulan Star Empire was reduced from a galactic power to two states, risking the spread of advanced Romulan technology to politically unstable worlds and utterly destabilizing the Alpha and Beta Quadrants. Despite age and mental disturbance, Shinzon surely left a mark on galactic history that will not soon be forgotten. The wreckage of the Scimitar, from his failed coup d'etats, became a spatial anomaly with the unofficial name Shinzon's Folly.
Missing in Tokyo, Japan
In 2394, Helen sent Typhuss to Tokyo, Japan to capture a abnormal and bring it back to the Underground Sanctuary. After Typhuss failed to report in at a scheduled time four days later Helen became worried and went to Tokyo, Japan to find him. After four hours of searching for Typhuss, Helen found a cave and Helen walked into the cave. Two hours later Helen found Typhuss tied to a chair and Helen cut the ropes with a knife. Typhuss told Helen that the Cabal captured the abnormal and then they killed it. Ten hours later Helen and Typhuss return to the Sanctuary.
Atlantis Expedition
When Typhuss joined the Atlantis Expedition in 2379, he was very eager to be part of the expedition on Starbase Atlantis. He is also a member of the First Atlantis Reconnaissance Team under command of Major/Lieutenant Colonel/Colonel John Sheppard. During Carter's command of the expedition in 2381, he accompanied AR-1, the flagship team and Colonel Samantha Carter when a mission resulted in them discovering Fenrir, who had been exiled before the death of his people. Despite his grief after learning about the death of his race, Fenrir provided Carter with control of his ship so that she could destroy a Xindi warship before he died as a result of a Xindi suicide bomber. When the Starbase plays host to an energy entity, Carter likened it to a similar entity that took the form of Colonel O'Neill and then came up with the idea to use technology she had previously encountered to go into the mind of Rodney McKay. Months later when the expedition was infected by Kirsan fever and lost their memories, Typhuss and Carter help McKay find Teyla so they could cure everyone. When the expedition met with Davos he showed Carter a vision of the Starbase being attacked and destroyed by the Asurans, later revealed to be a duplicate Starbase. When Starbase Atlantis underwent a complete lockdown quarantine, Typhuss was trapped in a turbolift with Samantha Carter and Dr. Radek Zelenka for several hours until they were rescued.
Some time later he went offworld to M5V-801 with Samantha Carter, Dr. Jennifer Keller and Dr. McKay to help convince the people to move to a new location after the planet began suffering tremors. The four fell into an underground chamber and had to find a way to get out. Carter was injured in an attempt. Knowing they were trapped, he and the other three made several attempts to escape, though in the process, their combined weights seriously compromised the structural integrity of the building. Eventually, they managed to escape by roping down to a tunnel leading out of the mine, with moments to spare before the facility fell into the bottom of a deep underground pit. In 2382, Sam returned to Earth for an "exhaustive review of her first year in command", she left Lieutenant Colonel John Sheppard in command of Starbase Atlantis. Three days later Colonel Carter returned to Starbase Atlantis after her review. Typhuss promoted John Sheppard to Colonel after talking to Samantha Carter about a promotion for Sheppard.
Deep Space 9
In 2379, Typhuss was assigned to Deep Space 9 by Vice Admiral Kathryn Janeway and by 2382 Typhuss was assigned as the strategic operations officer aboard DS9. Typhuss remained as strategic operations officer for one year. The year 2383 would prove to be eventful in the life of Captain Typhuss James Kira and the rest of the Federation as they adapted to the threats proposed by the Typhon Pact. While Ro was able to maintain relationships with many of her friends, she was constantly challenged by Prynn Tenmei and her new Security Chief Jefferson Blackmer, whom she did not trust. Further, Ro had to contend with threats levied against the station by the Andorians and the decision to allow Typhon Pact vessels access to the wormhole. The threats came to a head when the Typhon Pact launched an unprovoked attack against the station to hide the theft of Dominion equipment in the Gamma Quadrant. As the Defiant was attacked, several charges were detonated in the fusion core of the station causing severe structural damage and running the risk of the core breaching with the ejection systems offline. Ro remained in Ops, directing the battle and trying to save her station. Explosions were still observed to occur by the USS Robinson following its arrival at the battle scene. Mere moments later, the station was destroyed. While the majority of the station's residents were evacuated by the Defiant, several runabouts, and the USS Canterbury, 630 Starfleet officers and 461 civilians were killed. Despite the large figure, Leonard James Akaar felt that the number was acceptable given the situation.
The new Deep Space 9
In 2383, following the destruction of Deep Space 9, Typhuss was reassigned as strategic operations officer of both the ground-based facility that substituted for it and the construction of the replacement station.
In 2384, Typhuss was assigned to the new Deep Space 9 as strategic operations officer under Captain Ro Laren. Typhuss was at the opening ceremony for the new Deep Space 9. During the opening ceremony for the new Deep Space 9 (II) in 2385, President Nanietta Bacco was assassinated with a projectile weapon. Although a Bajoran official was apprehended, further Starfleet investigation pointed to Tzenkethi involvement.
Xindi War
In 2379, the Xindi and the Suliban attacked the Federation, forming the Xindi-Suliban Alliance. The Xindi later betrayed their peace treaty with the Federation with an attack on the Federation and their allies at Deep Space 9. 50 starships, led by the USS Enterprise-E, made the Suliban and Xindi fleet retreat from Deep Space 9. In 2383, a Federation fleet led by Captain Typhuss James Kira destroyed the Xindi fleet and starbase inside the Briar Patch. Later that year, the Breen attacked the Federation colony on Jestra V, signaling their entry into the Xindi-Suliban Alliance. The Federation and their allies have been fighting the Xindi-Suliban Alliance since 2379. In 2385, Typhuss and the USS Intrepid-A fought in the final battle of the war with the Xindi, the Battle of Kaleb IV. Having tried to end the war two years ago in 2383 which the war went on after that but this time the war was over in obrit of Kaleb IV. (Star Trek: Intrepid)
Destiny Expedition
2381
In 2381, Typhuss and around 80 others were forced to evacuate the base after an attack by the Lucian Alliance. Typhuss evacuated to Destiny and later returned to the base after the attack was over. When the expedition arrived, most of the ship was either damaged or inaccessible. The ship's power level and oxygen level were also running low. The crew managed to repair the filtration system, keeping themselves alive. After the ship solved its power issues by diving into a sun to recharge, they discovered that a dust creature had affected and was draining their water supply, forcing them to salvage water from a nearby ice planet in order to sustain themselves.
It wasn't until Typhuss reported to Homeworld Command from Destiny via the Long-range communication device, that Lieutenant General Jack O'Neill and others learned that these people were safe, aboard the ship and on their way back to the base. Doctor Rush and Captain Kira found a way to turn Destiny around and returned to Icarus base 11 hours after the battle. A short time later, the expedition came into conflict with a race called the Nakai, who had been chasing the ship for a long time in an attempt to uncover its secrets. Since then, the crew has had to fend off numerous attacks by the aliens, although Destiny's own defences have proven sufficent to sustain them despite its decades of damage.
During its trip between galaxies, the Nakai managed to sabotage Destiny's Faster-Than-Light engine, which required the crew to remove one of the units from the drive section and bypass it. Ironically, the damaged unit was hampering the overall efficiency of the drive, and had the aliens not destroyed it, Destiny would have never been able to make it to the next galaxy within the crew's lifetime.
2382-2383
From 2382 to 2383 Destiny continued its journey and facing new threats while on its way to the next sector. By 2383 they had arrived in the new sector.
2384
- "What the hell? You had control of this ship the whole time! You son of a bitch!"
- — Typhuss to Rush, after Typhuss found out that Rush discovered Destiny's bridge
Following the Lucian Alliance invasion of Destiny in 2384, Dr. Nicholas Rush discovered the ship's bridge, along with information about its mission. However, he attempted to conceal this information in the belief that nobody else in the crew would be able to understand the implications of his discovery, resulting in the death of Sergeant Hunter Riley when Rush programmed Destiny to stop near a planet and later stranding Colonel David Telford after disconnecting Destiny from a Seed ship, the crew only learning about his control of Destiny when he departed the ship to try and kill the Lucian Alliance member Simeon after Simeon killed Dr. Amanda Perry- as well as her 'host' and former Lucian Alliance member Ginn-while the two were using the Long-range communication stones.
With the crew now able to control Destiny's flight path after Rush was forced to reveal his discovery of the bridge, they diverted the ship to investigate a strange signal, only to find themselves caught in a fight between the aliens met on the Seed ship - now identified as the Ursini - and another unknown alien race that Destiny only survived thanks to the timely intervention of the returned Colonel David Telford in the seed ship, only to subsequently find themselves locked in battle with the Control Ship after the Ursini took Destiny to confront it ahead of schedule. Fortunately, the intervention of the Nakai - summoned by Chloe Armstrong using her pathogen-based connection to them- bought Destiny enough time to take out the command ship. The Ursini attempted to contact their colony, only to draw the attention of a second command ship.
The Ursini subsequently sacrificed themselves and their seed ship to give the Destiny crew enough time to repair the damage Destiny had sustained to its shield and FTL systems in the fight and jump out of harm's way.
2385
In 2385, Lieutenant General Jack O'Neill assinged Typhuss to command the Destiny expedition and Icarus base, replacing Colonel Everett Young as commanding officer of both the expedition and the base. By this year, the Destiny Expedition had not encountered the Nakai for four years, five months and twenty three days.
Following the discovery that Dr. Amanda Perry and Ginn- a quadriplegic scientist and a former member of the Lucian Alliance respectively- had survived the physical death of their bodies as imprints of consciousness in the Long-range communication stones, Dr. Nicholas Rush was able to devise a plan to transfer them into Destiny's database, allowing them to project holographic versions of themselves throughout the ship to communicate with the rest of the crew, while also granting them access to the ship's database. However, the crew were eventually forced to transfer Perry and Ginn into a quarantined section of the database after Perry nearly trapped Rush in a virtual simulation and there was no other way to get him out.
After an encounter with the descendants of the alternate Destiny expedition who were sent back in time, the expedition has gained access to the supplies left by their descendants, as well as access to approximately one-third of the Ancient database and the knowledge that the Novus population had harnessed during their years alone.
After discovering that the drones were blockading all of the stars in Destiny's path, the crew decided to recharge in a blue giant. In order to do this they abandoned the ship for another Novus colony while Rush, Dr. Lisa Park and Eli Wallace stayed behind to pilot the ship through the star. They succeeded, but Park was flash-blinded.
Conflict with T'Uerell
In 2380, Typhuss and the USS Intrepid-A had a final confrontation with T'Uerell, a Vulcan who had been working with the Borg, inciting conflicts throughout local space, for two hundred years. Captains Jean-Luc Picard and Typhuss James Kira, with the assistance of Admiral Kathryn Janeway, onboard her former starship, the USS Voyager, met with T'Uerell and learned of her true intentions; she planned to conquer the Alpha Quadrant with the Borg. T'Uerell believed that everything she had done, including the deaths of many Starfleet personnel, had been for the greater good. Before leaving the system, Janeway ordered Picard and Kira to defend Federation colonies from assimilation. Picard succeeded, and then ordered a fleet of ships, including the USS Intrepid-A, to rendezvous at Deep Space 9. T'Uerell and the Borg cubes made their way to Deep Space 9 where Picard and his task force help defend the Klingon and Romulan forces under attack. With the loyalty Picard garnered, the Romulan and Klingon starships placed themselves under his flag. The forces engaged T'Uerell and her Borg allies and were victorious. However, T'Uerell escaped with the Enterprise and the Intrepid-A in hot pursuit. T'Uerell fled to a star system with many Borg vessels, with Janeway noting that she would not be able to leave, because of all the ships surrounding her. After destroying a Borg tactical cube, the Federation/Klingon/Romulan forces engaged T'Uerell. After destroying the strain that protected her, all ships opened fire. T'Uerell's ship could not stand the intense weapons fire and was finally destroyed, thus bringing an end 221 years of unending conflict. Picard heard T'Uerell calling out to him in her final minutes, though Picard could not tell whether it was the Vulcan or the Borg in her who was calling.

Borg supercube crisis
The USS Intrepid-A was one of the ships to respond to the Borg supercube crisis of the Alpha Quadrant in 2380. Captain Kira joined up with the USS Enterprise-E and the Intrepid joined the battle near Earth. The cube then flew into Sol to gather enough energy to spawn six smaller vessels which it used to hold Earth hostage to try and attract Jean-Luc Picard and Seven of Nine who it wished to re-assimilate. Both persons were on the Enterprise preparing plans to resist. They came to Earth with two plans; the re-activated Doomsday machine which, piloted by Seven attacked the cube, inflicting huge damage. Unfortunately the success was short lived and the cube soon began to absorb the Planet Killer too, infusing its impervious neutronium hull into the cube's own structure. Fortunately the second plan was also ready in Seven, the Endgame virus, which had been downloaded into her ready to infect the Borg with an insolvable problem should she be assimilated. As she was absorbed into the cube she sent the virus, but it was blocked by a firewall. She vented her frustrations in thought, and the Collective and Queen reacted, taunting her, but she fought back, and within the Queen Janeway reached out, and resisted, broke the firewall and allowed the cube to be infected. The Borg infected, attempted to solve the virus, causing the cube continually reconfigure, until the stresses became too much and it was destroyed. In 2380, Typhuss along with the crew of Voyager, mourned the loss of Kathryn Janeway at her memorial service in San Francisco.
2381
Borg Invasion of 2381
In 2381, the Borg began using the Azure Nebula's subspace tunnel network to invade Federation space. The Borg attacked Starbase 74, the starbase was saved by the USS Intrepid -A, the USS Celsius and the USS Miranda and a fleet of Federation starships. The Starfleet vessels USS Enterprise and USS Aventine eventually discovered this network, and called for an allied armada to gather in the Azure Nebula against an anticipated Borg invasion. While the two vessels were investigating the network, an armada of over 7000 Borg vessels entered the Alpha Quadrant through the Azure Nebula, destroying the assembled fleet of more than 300 vessels. The USS Intrepid-A which was the only ship to survive the conflict along with the USS Voyager. After the battle, the Intrepid was hurriedly repaired and was immediately assigned to a Federation fleet assembled at the Vulcan system in order to prevent a Borg fleet of ten cubes from assimilating Vulcan, Bajor, and eventually, Earth. Along with the USS Atlas and the USS Defiant, it was one of the first ships to open fire on the Borg fleet over Vulcan, destroying two cubes and damaging a third, beginning the Battle of Vulcan. The Intrepid fired quantum and photon torpedoes at the cubes after the Borg adapted to the transphasic torpedoes. After Erika Hernandez took temporary control of the collective and ordered the cubes to fight amognst themselves, the Intrepid joined the surviving ships to destroy the remainder of the fleet.
However, the Federation starships USS Enterprise-E, USS Aventine and USS Titan, managed to convince the extremely powerful Caeliar - who had inadvertently played a key role in creating the Borg - to dissolve the Borg Collective and halt the invasion. As a result of this, all of the former drones were absorbed into the Caeliar gestalt.
After the Invasion
The invasion attempt cost of 63 billion deaths and the fallout led to drastic changes in the political nature of the Alpha and Beta Quadrants, including an expansion of the Khitomer Accords and the formation of the Typhon Pact.
Following the Borg invasion the USS Intrepid was ordered to patrol the Kaleb system for 3 weeks along with the USS Miranda and the USS Celsius. Following the 3-week patrol mission the Intrepid returns to Deep Space 9 with the Miranda and the Celsius.
Three months later, as Starfleet prepared to send an exploratory task-force, led by Voyager, to the Delta Quadrant, Admiral Kenneth Montgomery ordered Captain Typhuss James Kira to join Project Full Circle but Typhuss turned down the offer because of the Xindi War.
2382
Battle of Sector 654
In 2382, the Borg tired to attack Bajor but was stopped by the USS Intrepid-A and the 147th Tactical Fleet which led to the destruction of a Borg cube and a Borg sphere in obrit of Bajor.
2385
Andor Incident
After Julian Bashir resigned from Starfleet and attempted to provide a cure to the Andorians for their reproductive crisis, President Pro-Tempore Ishan Anjar ordered Kira to stop Bashir by any means necessary. The Intrepid was later involved in a standoff at the Andorian border with two ships.
Despite a tense standoff at the Andorian border, Bashir eventually made it to the planet, with the assistance of Captain Ezri Dax and her crew, Captain Kira and his crew, in spite of the USS Warspite's special forces team attempting to stop them.
The Intrepid was involved in a standoff and fired upon by Andorian ships before temporarily defusing an extradition situation. Kira attempted to extradite Bashir from the freighter he was hiding on but the Intrepid took damage due to a concealed weapon system. Once Captain Kira had sided with Bashir in administering the cure to Andor, the USS Warspite and USS Falchion attempted to remove the Intrepid from the system. However, the ship remained in orbit of Andor for the duration of the conflict. Later after Julian Bashir was returned to the Aventine, Dax, Typhuss along with Simon Tarses and Sam Bowers assisted in getting Bashir to Andor, in defiance of the Federation President, the USS Warspite, and USS Falchion. After the cure was disseminated, Typhuss surrendered to the security officer, along with Bashir and Dax. (ST - The Fall novel: A Ceremony of Losses)
After the Andor incident, Typhuss was imprisoned at the Jaros II stockade. He was visited by Christine Vale who had temporally taken command of the Lionheart and wanted to hear his side of the story. He then implored Vale to find Julian and set him free no matter the cost. While Vale promised that Admiral Riker would ensure that Typhuss would have his day in court, Typhuss was not confident that would be the case. Typhuss felt that he, Julian, and the others had done the right thing and it was now time to pay the price.
Later in 2385 it was revealed that Ishan Anjar was long dead. Baras Rodirya - the man who had taken his identity during the Cardassian Occupation of Bajor - was revealed to be working with the Cardassian group the True Way. Baras was personally arrested by Attorney General Phillipa Louvois and removed from office. Admiral Akaar was soon authorized by President Pro-Tempore Sipak to drop all the charges against Captain Kira. Typhuss was issued a commendation for his actions and reinstated as captain of the Intrepid. (ST - The Fall novel: Peaceable Kingdoms)
Alternate reality (2165)
In 2385, the USS Intrepid was pulled into a alternate 22nd century, the Intrepid found the Enterprise (NX-01) under attack by Xindi warships. During the battle against the Xindi in the Ceti Alpha system, the crew of the Enterprise were aided by the USS Intrepid-A, which had come from the future from the year 2385, and were able to fight off the Xindi. Hoshi Sato and Amanda Cole opted to stay aboard the Intrepid-A when it returned to its own time.
Rescue mission: Mikaela Banes
Later that year, the Aventine and the Intrepid were sent on a rescue mission to free Lieutenant Commander Mikaela Banes from the Orion Syndicate. Mikaela was rescued by the USS Intrepid-A and the USS Aventine. Mikaela was returned to the Federation. Mikaela was promoted to Commander by her former lover Typhuss James Halliwell and assigned to the USS Intrepid-A.
2386
The Sanctuary Network goes rogue
In 2386, Greg Addison started having the Sanctuary Network secretly watched in order to find out the whereabouts of the Crixorum, a dangerous abnormal psychic from Hollow Earth. When his plan backfired into a bloodbath in Jakarta, he had himself appointed an inspector and led a team that investigated the Old City Sanctuary. Eventually, Dr. Helen Magnus convinced him that she had sent the Crixorum back to Hollow Earth. As a result, he told her that Starfleet Security was putting him in charge of the Sanctuary Network, otherwise all of its assets in the world would be frozen. To his surprise, Magnus threw him out and threatened that if he returned, she would have him eaten. Magnus was backed into a corner by her political allies and was forced to go rogue with the global Sanctuary Network to ensure its independence. This marks the end of the Sanctuary Network's long-time affiliation with Starfleet Security. Magnus explains to Typhuss that having the Network cut of from Starfleet Security and other external influences was her plan in the first place and has decided that the changes that are coming make it necessary for them to be able to make their own rules.
Abnormal attack on the Sanctuary
In 2386, the Old City branch was invaded by agents of the Abnormal Insurgency, led by Caleb. Helen Magnus was able to defeat them with the help of her team. A year after the battle the Sanctuary team abonanded the Sanctuary in order to go into hiding at the new Underground Sanctuary.
Ghost ship
In 2383, the Borg attacked and assimilated the crew of the USS Zeus. The USS Intrepid-A was able to rescue Captain Rivers from the Zeus and destroyed the Zeus in order to eliminate the Borg threat. In 2386, it was found out that the USS Zeus destroyed in 2383 was a fake USS Zeus. The real USS Zeus was located in sector 21087, it has been there since 2382. The Zeus was returned to the Federation days later.
Finding the IKS SuHDah
In 2159, the IKS SuHDah went missing in the Borderland. 227 years later Federation probes found the IKS SuHDah abandoned in the Borderland, over two hundred years old. Starfleet sent the USS Intrepid-A to the Borderland to find out what happened to the crew of the IKS SuHDah. During the mission, Chloe Sullivan downloaded the crew logs, the Intrepid got attacked by nine Orion interceptors, B'Elanna got the weapons back online. Typhuss fired the disruptors at the Orion ship and destroyed it. The relays ruptured and the weapons went offline.
Later Typhuss downloaded the visual playback log and sensor log from the Klingon computer. Later the USS Kingston lead 5 Daedalus-class battlecruisers against the Orions, they were able to drive them away. The last one attacked the Bird-of-prey, then the ship evaded the Orion ship until the away team was transported to the USS Kingston after the Bird of-prey lowered its shields. Then the Bird-of-prey was destroyed by the Orion ship. It was revealed that the IKS SuHDah was attacked by a Der'kal warship. (Star Trek: Kingston episode: "The Discovery")
2387
Hobus crisis
In 2387, the USS Intrepid-A was sent across the now defunct Romulan Neutral Zone to search for any Romulans who may have survived the explosion of the Hobus star. Typhuss met with survivors from another mixed sentiments. Some of them wanted to leave their homeland and reunite with their Vulcan cousins, others blamed the Federation for the loss of their beloved homeworld and some simply wanted to live out the last years of their existence in peace, away from the interference of the Federation.
Later General Worf leads a task force to stop Nero's quest for vengeance following the destruction of Romulus. The USS Intrepid-A also joins the battle against the Narada. The task force is quickly overwhelmed and the Narada fires it's advanced weaponry and cripples the USS Intrepid-A with a single volley. Nero demands that Worf deliver himself as a captive. Worf agrees, but uses the surrender as cover to lead an EVA mission onto Nero's vessel. The Klingons meets with initial success, while Worf makes his way to the command center to find Nero. Worf rejects Nero's attempts to persuade him, and is impaled by the vessel's Borg-enhanced mechanisms. Alive but only tenuously, Worf is beamed to the Enterprise as part of a ploy to lower the Starfleet vessel's shields, and is immediately transported to sickbay. Worf is still recovering from the wounds received onboard the Narada. The Intrepid when to chase after Spock, who had launched the Jellyfish to try and stop the Hobus supernova doing any further damage. Spock's red matter created a black hole, Nero voiced his fury at Spock's having saved Vulcan, at what Nero considered to be Romulus's escape. But before Nero could take his revenge any further the Narada was sucked into the black hole. As the Narada disappeared Nero promised he would have his revenge. Then the Intrepid finds no sign of the supernova, the Jellyfish, or the Narada. Unfortunately, Spock was not found by the USS Intrepid-A. Typhuss then realizes that Spock knew he wouldn't escape and that Spock sacrificed himself to save the galaxy.
The Hobus Conspiracy
In 2387, Typhuss had to deal with the Hobus Conspiracy, a plot by some Starfleet officers to militarize Starfleet in the aftermath of the Hobus crisis, led by Vice Admiral Alexander Pierce.
To some members of Starfleet, the Federation's response to the crisis was deemed thoroughly ineffective. This, coupled with numerous other threatening events that had happened throughout the Presidency of Nanietta Bacco, led these Starfleet officers to the idea that the Federation was not strong enough to deal with these modern threats.
These officers gathered together and planned a coup d'etat immediately after the Hobus crisis, which gave the conspiracy its name.
This coup, if successful, would militarize the Federation on a drastic scale, as well as cut off diplomatic relations with foreign powers including the Klingon Empire. This would also, as Nicholas Fury called it, effectively turn the Federation into a dictatorship. After the attempted coup failed, it sparked the Federation Civil War.
2388
The second militarization conspiracy
- "There will always be those who mean to do us harm. To stop them, we risk awakening the same evil within ourselves. Starfleet had risked becoming as warlike as its enemies. But that's not who we are. We are here today to rechristen the USS Intrepid, and to honor those who lost their lives one month ago. When I took command of the Intrepid ten years ago, Admiral Janeway had me recite the Captain's Oath, words I did appreciate at the time. Now I see them as a call for us to remember who we once were, and who we must be again."
- — Typhuss James Kira
In 2388, Typhuss had to deal with another conspiracy, a plot by some Starfleet officers to militarize Stafleet in the aftermath of the failed coup d'etat of the Federation a year before. The Titanic-class was decommissioned by Starfleet, the class was criticised by many Starfleet officers, including Typhuss James Kira and Julian Bashir for its supposed "militarization" of Starfleet. All ten Titanic class starships were also decommissioned by Starfleet and the auto-destruct systems on all ten Titanic class starships were activated, all ten ships were destroyed. One month later, Typhuss spoke at a memorial for the lives lost as a result of Rear Admiral Jonathan Mandrake's actions. In his speech, Typhuss reminded the attendees that Starfleet's true mission was the exploration of the galaxy. Typhuss spoke out against what the Titanic class represented and reminded the assembled audience that Starfleet had risked becoming as warlike as its enemies. (Star Trek: Intrepid episode: "Into Darkness")
Xindi
In 2388, Typhuss along with Ezri Dax, Julian Bashir and Helen Magnus used the runabout USS Rio Grande to meet with Andorian Captain My'ra Telek, about the Xindi. Telek gave them information on Xindi ships. The next day Julian, Typhuss, Ro Laren, Nog and Samantha Carter had a meeting about the Xindi in the hub. The Xindi wanted to start the war again, Nog didn't understand why the Xindi want to start the war again. Typhuss told everyone that he would lead peace talks with the Xindi. Kira filed for divorce from Typhuss, Kira was lonely and felt that Typhuss wasn't there for her. Typhuss got married to Sam again. The next day Sam got a fast divorce from Typhuss and Kira came over to talk, Kira stopped the divorce and reconciled with Typhuss.
Mutara sector mission
Starfleet Command lost contact with Regula I after the USS Columbia was destroyed by a Elachi starship, Admiral Kathryn Janeway sent the Intrepid and a small fleet to Regula I in the Mutara sector. Admiral Janeway came with the fleet aboard Voyager. The fleet got a distress call from the USS Stargazer, it was under attack by Elachi ships. The fleet sets a course for Regula I using their quantum slipstream drives.
Twelve hours later the fleet arrived at Regula I, the fleet engaged the Elachi ships and forced the vessels to retreat from Regula I, and reported the encounter to Starfleet Command. After drving off the Elachi ships from Regula I, Captain Kira lead a away team to the station with Colonel Sarah Mackenzie along with Captain Chakotay, Lieutenant Commander Tom Paris and Lieutenant Harry Kim. Soon the away team came under attack by a Human woman armed with a Klingon disruptor pistol. Captain Kira ordered Colonel Mackenzie to use a stun grenade to stun the Human. It was found that the Human woman was Cheryl Anderson, Typhuss's ex-wife and the second woman was a clone of Xena. The Voyager officers returned to Voyager, Captain Kira ordered Mackenzie back to the ship with the two women and take them to sickbay. Mackenzie beamed back to the ship and later Captain Kira beamed back to the ship.
Reunited with Chakotay and Janeway
In 2384, Typhuss was reunited aboard the USS Voyager-A with Chakotay and Admiral Janeway was informed that she and Chakotay were not dead but in fact alive. Typhuss was overjoyed to see his friends Chakotay and Kathryn Janeway again. (PRO: "Cracked Mirror")

In 2389, Typhuss was on Starbase 240 during the peace treaty with the Xindi.
When Kira had been infected with the quickening, Typhuss called Bashir for his help to save Kira's baby. Julian needed a fresh strain of the quickening to come up with a cure. The Kingston headed for the Gamma Quadrant and went to Teplan.
Julian took a sample from a young woman and gave Doctor Murphy the sample ans she beamed back to the Kingston. Then Julian and the rest of the away team returned to the Kingston. Julian was able to cure Kira's baby and Kira Meru II was born in 2389 on November 11th on the USS Kingston in sickbay. She was named after Kira's mother, Kira Meru. The Kingston returned Typhuss and his family to Bajor.
Later that year, after Reba Halliwell, Typhuss's aunt was shot by an unknown shooter on Bajor, Typhuss helped with the case along with Lieutenant Olivia Benson.
Typhuss thought about resigning from SVU. Typhuss chose not to retire from SVU after his aunt Reba was attacked.
Later that year, Olivia helped Admiral Kira and Dana Scully stop Piper Halliwell from killing Cole Turner, it was found out that Piper was under the control of a alien device.
Typhuss along with SVU works on a case to help Kate Murphy who is in a abusive relationship with Jack Williams, he beats her up every day. Jack says he is sorry every time and that he won't do it again. (Star Trek: Intrepid episode: "Lethal Consequences")
Later that year Admiral Pamela Landy thought Admiral Kira killed two Starfleet Intelligence agents because they found his phaser at the crime scene. Typhuss had to go on the run to find out who set him up. Typhuss contacted Admiral Olivia Mansfield for help. Later it was found out that Lex Luthor killed the two SI agents and Typhuss kept his rank.
Later that year, Cole Turner was released from the New Zealand Penal Settlement on good behavior. Typhuss was mad about that after Olivia told him and Captain Tyson.
Later that year Cole wanted revenge on Typhuss because he ruined him and Cole want to ruin Starfleet by using a device to take control of the Enterprise's weapons and attack Bajor. He also told Typhuss he would kill his wife and kids. Cole tortured Typhuss with a Goa'uld torture stick then Cole went to rape Kira Nerys in Typhuss's bedroom. Captain John Martin and the SVU squad were able to free Typhuss. Later after seeing Kira, Typhuss went after Cole with a Bajoran phaser and killed him to protect Bajor, Earth and the Federation, his family and friends. (Star Trek: Intrepid episode: "Cole's Rampage")
A day after Cole's death and the attack on Bajor, at a counseling session with Deanna Troi for Kira, Deanna told Typhuss that there were talks of a trial for killing Cole, Typhuss told her that Cole was a threat to the Federation and that if a trial was to come that he could win. (Star Trek: Intrepid episode: "Requiem")
2390s
Recruitment by the SSR (2390-present)

- "Seven: He's condemned us all. Helen Magnus: Misery loves company. Typhuss: Get away from me. Sam: Or what? You'll kill us where we stand? Typhuss: Tell me what you want me to be. 25th century
In 2401, the Intrepid subsequently joined a Starfleet armada assembled to oppose the massive Singularity that emerged from a spatial anomaly. It was briefly compromised when the Borg Queen began assimilating the USS Stargazer and obtained its command codes. After an understanding was reached with the Queen, the Intrepid joined the Borg in a coordinated effort to deflect a massive energy burst from a newly forming transwarp conduit. (PIC episodes: "The Star Gazer", "Farewell")
He was scheduled to give a speech at the Frontier Day ceremony. He aided Picard and Riker when Typhuss learned of Crusher's message to Picard.
In 2401, Admiral Jean-Luc Picard, Vice Admiral Kira and Captain William T. Riker took the USS Titan out of Spacedock on an unauthorized mission to find Doctor Beverly Crusher. (PIC episode: "The Next Generation")
That year, Ro Laren boarded the USS Titan-A to interrogate Picard, Typhuss and Riker for hijacking the ship but, after a heated exchange with Picard and Typhuss over her betrayal, revealed that she was investigating the Changeling threat and told Picard and Typhuss that she believed Starfleet had been compromised at the highest levels. Ro gave Picard and Typhuss a head start to get away but was betrayed by her security team, who were actually Changelings in disguise, and gave the Titan-A the opportunity to escape by navigating the doomed shuttle towards the Intrepid's port nacelle in an effort to cripple the vessel. Before boarding the shuttle, Ro gave Picard her Bajoran earring, which Riker discovered was a datachip containing files on her entire investigation. An incoming transmission revealed that she was Worf's handler. Picard and Typhuss was greatly affected by the loss. (PIC episode: "Imposters")
Subsequently, Typhuss would be reunited with his old friend, Seven on the USS Titan-A and discover that Jack Crusher, the target of Vadic and a rogue faction of the Changelings, was actually Picard's own son.
Following the defeat of Vadic, it was discovered that, while Picard was Locutus of Borg, he had been genetically altered to be a Borg receiver which had resulted in Picard being able to hear the Borg Collective even without any implants. This had been misdiagnosed as Irumodic Syndrome and was what had actually killed him. Jack had inherited this genetic abnormality from Picard, but he had become a transmitter capable of communicating with the Collective. The Changelings used the abnormality, extracted from Picard's original body, to allow the Borg to take over Starfleet and begin the assimilation of the Federation, virtually unchallenged.
With the Titan-A falling under Borg control, Picard, Riker, Worf, Data, Deanna, Beverly, Typhuss and La Forge retreated to the Fleet Museum where La Forge revealed that he had secretly spent the last twenty years rebuilding the USS Enterprise-D, the saucer section of which had been recovered from Veridian III following its destruction due to the Prime Directive. With the Enterprise not linked into Starfleet's mainframe and thus unaffected by the Borg takeover, Picard resumed command of his old ship to once again fight the Borg, happily accepting a field demotion back to the rank of Captain after the Enterprise computer identified him as Captain Jean-Luc Picard due to the long-outdated crew manifest. Typhuss also returned to his ship, the Intrepid-A to help Picard fight the Borg alongside the Enterprise-D. (PIC: episode "Võx")
Under Picard's leadership, the Enterprise and the Intrepid-A engaged a Borg cube over Jupiter with Picard beaming aboard the Borg ship himself in order to save his son. Picard was confronted by his old enemy the Borg Queen who revealed that the Borg Collective had been decimated to the point of near destruction by the neurolytic pathogen spread by an alternate timeline version of Admiral Kathryn Janeway decades earlier with the Queen's own cannibalism to survive, starvation and old age leaving the Borg as only the Queen, a handful of drones and a single cube. In an effort to save his son, Picard linked with Jack who eventually broke free as the Enterprise destroyed the cube. At the last moment, Deanna Troi was able to detect Riker's position, allowing the Enterprise to beam out Picard, Jack, Riker and Worf as the Borg cube exploded, ending the Borg once and for all and breaking their control over Starfleet. As a reward for saving the Federation, Picard and his crew all received full pardons for their criminal actions while Seven was promoted to the rank of Captain.
By 2404, Typhuss was in command of Stargate Command at the Cheyenne Mountain Complex in Colorado Springs, Colorado on Earth. Typhuss's heroism during his long Starfleet career earned him a promotion to the rank of Admiral in 2409. (Star Trek: Intrepid)
In the year 2410, Typhuss joined his fellow Voyager crewmates in efforts to explore the Delta Quadrant that had become accessible via a series of Iconian Gateways leading through the Solanae and Jenolan Dyson spheres. (Star Trek: Online)
Erased future
Crisis in 2397
In 2397, Green Arrow teamed up with the Flash, Hawkgirl and the Atom, to fight the Reverse-Flash in the streets of Central City. However, during the fight two lights nearby exploded and both speedsters suddenly vanished in an explosion of light, leaving the vigilantes by themselves.
This timeline was erased when Team Flash destroyed Cicada's Lightning dagger, resulting in the crisis occuring much earlier, in 2392, along with a few minor changes such as Supergirl, Red Arrow and Batwoman being involved in the event instead of Hawkgirl.
Alternate reality
In the alternate reality created by the Dominators, Typhuss was friends with a Oliver Queen that never went on the Queen's Gambit in 2373, Laurel is getting ready to marry Oliver. Typhuss and Samantha Carter are engaged and about to be married.
Rewritten reality
In an alternate reality created by the Legion of Doom using the Spear of Destiny, Red Arrow was killed by Damien Darhk, now mayor of Star City, along with Spartan, Black Canary, Green Arrow, The Flash, Ragman, Wild Dog, Vigilante and later Felicity. All of their masks were kept as trophies in Darhk's office.
Legacy
Possible future
As the Red Arrow
In a possible future, Typhuss as Red Arrow, is one of the several heroes remembered in the era called the "Age of Heroes".
Alternate timelines and realities
In an alternate timeline, Typhuss joined Tom Paris, Kathryn Janeway, B'Elanna Torres, and Tuvok on a planet devastated by the detonation of a polaric ion device. Two members of a Voyager away team, Kathryn Janeway and Tom Paris, moved through one of the fractures and were transported one day into the past, where they discovered that they were the cause of the catastrophe. When they prevented the accident, the timeline in which the explosion occurred was eliminated, so they return to Voyager and the civilization is spared. (Star Trek: Voyager episode: "Time and Again")
In an alternate timeline, Typhuss, Chakotay and Harry Kim flew the Delta Flyer to Earth after Voyager was destroyed due to a mistake of Kim's. Fifteen years later, as fugitives, they found Voyager and "fixed" history. (Star Trek: Voyager episode: "Timeless")
In another timeline, the Federation was at war with the Klingon Empire in 2400. By 2390, Typhuss was in command of the USS Hoshi Sato. In 2403, after the war was over, the Federation Starfleet was destroyed and was replaced by the new Bajoran Starfleet. Typhuss joined this new Starfleet with his wife Kira Nerys. Typhuss was promoted to Admiral and Kira was promoted to Fleet Admiral. The United Federation of Planets became the United Bajoran Federation of Planets. By early 2403 Bajor was succumbed to numerous but unsuccessful raids by the Klingon Empire. Bajor had built a large fighter wing division which would defend the planet from the pathetic attempts from the Klingon Empire in attacking the Bajoran homeworld. In April 2404, Kira was killed when a Klingon bird-of-prey destroyed her shuttlecraft. 5 months after Kira's death, Typhuss married Deanna Troi. This timeline cease to exist when Typhuss and his crew won the war against the Xindi. (Star Trek: Bajor)
Another separate timeline was created when Captain Braxton, from the 29th century, placed a temporal disruptor aboard Voyager, creating several temporal distortions. (Star Trek: Voyager episode: "Relativity")
In another alternate timeline experienced by Kes, Chakotay was captain of the USS Voyager after Captain Janeway and B'Elanna Torres were killed by a chroniton torpedo in a Krenim attack in 2373. Chakotay succeeded her as captain and was still in command of Voyager in 2379. Typhuss was a Lieutenant Commander and still the science officer aboard Voyager. (Star Trek: Voyager episode: "Before and After")
In another alternate timeline Janeway engaged the Krenim. After a year in which USS Voyager was wrecked nearly beyond repair, Janeway rammed USS Voyager into the Krenim temporal ship restoring the orginal timeline. (Star Trek: Voyager episodes: "Year of Hell, Part I", "Year of Hell, Part II")
In an alternate timeline in which the Cardassian Union did not withdraw from Bajor in 2369, Typhuss was the science officer of a version of Voyager which was not stranded in the Delta Quadrant by the Caretaker in 2371. In addition to Janeway, its senior staff included first officer Lieutenant Commander Aaron Cavit, tactical officer and security chief Lieutenant Tuvok, conn officer Lieutenant Veronica Stadi, chief medical officer Dr. Fitzgerald, chief engineer Joseph Carey and operations officer Ensign Harry Kim and science officer Lieutenant Typhuss James Halliwell.
While Voyager and a task force consisting of eight other ships were investigating recent suspicious activities being carried out by the Cardassians on the Federation border in 2373, the ships were fired upon by a fleet of Galor class warships armed with phased polaron beam weapons. Unbeknownst to the Federation at this time, these weapons had been provided by the Cardassians' newfound Gamma Quadrant allies, the Dominion. The Cardassians had made contact with the Dominion several years earlier via the wormhole which they discovered in the Bajoran sector, the existence of which they kept secret from the other major Alpha Quadrant powers. In the midst of the battle, Voyager was able to gather detailed sensor readings. Moments before the ship was destroyed with all hands, Tuvok transmitted these sensor readings to Starfleet Command, enabling the Federation to develop countermeasures against the phased polaron beam weapons. Voyager itself was destroyed by the Cardassians. (TNG - Myriad Universes novel: A Gutted World)
In an alternate timeline in which the USS Voyager was forced to turn back from its journey home to Earth, Typhuss was serving at the science station on the bridge in January 2374 when Voyager witnessed a Species 8472 assault on a Borg-occupied star system. When one of the Species 8472 battleships proceeded to pursue and attack Voyager, Dalby reported that the ship's warp field was destabilizing and later after a devastating attack by Species 8472 the Vostigye took in the crew of the USS Voyager. Later Typhuss joined the Delta Coalition between 2375 and 2376. (Star Trek: Myriad Universes novel: Places of Exile)
In yet another alternate timeline in which Voyager took twenty-three years to return to Earth, Typhuss commanded the Sovereign-class starship USS Intrepid in the early 25th century. Janeway became a vice admiral and traveled back in time to 2377, bringing along technology thirty years from the future to help Voyager return to Earth using the previously avoided hub and return the ship sooner than the twenty-three years it originally took her. (Star Trek: Voyager episode: "Endgame")
In an alternate reality where Xena didn't die in 2375, they were married for 27 years until her death in 2386, unlike prime Xena and prime Typhuss who were only married for 16 years.
In an alternate reality, the Xindi-Suliban Alliance is currently attacking the Federation and their allies and the Federation is slowly being wiped out. Typhuss is in command of the USS Intrepid-A. Typhuss was still married to Samantha Carter and not Kira Nerys. Samantha Carter is a Colonel rather than a Brigadier General.
In an alternate reality, the Federation is currently at war with the Klingon Emipre. Within this reality Typhuss is in command of the USS Enterprise-E not Jean-Luc Picard starting in 2372, Sarah Mackenzie is a Major rather than a Colonel and Typhuss was never assigned to the USS Voyager in 2371. The USS Defiant has recently been destroyed in battle. Typhuss is married to Sarah Mackenzie not Kira Nerys. Samantha Carter is a Colonel rather than a Brigadier General.
In an alternate reality visited by Typhuss James Kira, Typhuss and Helen Magnus were lovers until his death in 2386 when the Old City branch was invaded by agents of the Abnormal Insurgency, led by Caleb. Helen Magnus was able to defeat them, but also triggered the self-destruction of the facility in order to go into hiding at the new Underground Sanctuary. The Vancouver, British Columbia facility was completely destroyed by a number of huge explosions. Its fiery end could be observed even from skyscrapers on the other side of the city. Helen's lover Typhuss James Halliwell was killed by Caleb during the fighting in the main lab and Helen killed Caleb. Typhuss died in Helen's arms.
In a quantum reality, Typhuss is married to Dr. Helen Magnus, Ph.D who was a doctor and scientist that leads the Sanctuary Network, also working in the Stargate Program. This Helen Magnus is bisexual just like Helen Magnus of the primary universe.
In the 23rd century of the same alternate reality, Typhuss James Halliwell was a Human male who is an officer in Starfleet. He is currently Captain of the USS Defiant. In 2259 Typhuss joined the Starfleet Criminal Investigative Service. In 2258 of an alternate reality brought about by Nero's interference, the original Defiant was part of a fleet destroyed by the Narada during a mission to investigate a lightning storm in space in the proximity of Vulcan. Starfleet then commissioned the USS Defiant which was to be commanded by Typhuss James Halliwell.
In the alternate reality influenced by Nero, Typhuss James Halliwell is a Human male Starfleet officer. Typhuss James Halliwell was in command of Deep Space 9 and the USS Defiant snice 2371. Typhuss was also in command of the second USS Defiant. Typhuss was married to a Bajoran dabo girl named Leeta. Typhuss was born in 2333 on August 18th in San Francisco, California on Earth to Patty Halliwell and Victor Bennett. As a major consequence of these events, in this timeline Typhuss James Halliwell grew up without Jonathan James Halliwell and without the ambitions his grandfather gave him in the primary universe. Soon after moving to Deep Space 9, Leeta became immediately attracted to Typhuss James Halliwell and kissed him to be close to him. Later Typhuss and Leeta began dating. One month later Typhuss and Leeta decided to get married quickly, and they asked the Emissary, Commander Benjamin Sisko, to perform the ceremony. Benjamin Sisko married them later that day in Quark's bar. Typhuss is having a affair with Olivia Benson behind Leeta's back. Later that year Typhuss broke off the relationship with Olivia. In late 2376, Leeta became pregnant with her and Typhuss's first child. Leeta and Typhuss later hired Doctor Orpax to deliver the baby. After her birth, Leeta and Typhuss named the girl Bena after Sisko and the Bajoran word for "joy". Typhuss later divorced Leeta and later married Helen Magnus.
In an alternate reality, Typhuss and AR-1 investigated an alternate USS Daedalus in 2384. They arrived on the ship when they realized that it was jumping to several alternate realities. They were unable to find a solution and return to their reality. They ran out of food and eventually starved to death.
In another alternate reality, John Sheppard was dishonourably discharged and therefore never joined the Atlantis expedition. Consequently, AR-1 had a different leader in this reality, though his/her identity is never revealed.
In an alternate reality, in 2378, Typhuss became Talia al Ghul's lover, unknown to anyone even her father, Ra's al Ghul. Talia and Typhuss had to keep their relationship a secret from people even his family. In 2387, after marrying Typhuss she took his last name and became Talia al Ghul-Halliwell. In 2389, Talia gave birth to a baby boy and named him Damian Halliwell al Ghul.
Biomimetic duplicate
In 2374, Voyager landed on a Demon class planet rich in deuterium sources. The planet was filled with silver fluid with mimetic properties. The Silver Blood sampled the crew's DNA and created duplicates with identical memories and personalities but with the ability to survive on the planet. The silver blood would not let Voyager leave unless it could duplicate the rest of Voyager's crew to populate the planet. Captain Janeway, understanding that this was their only way out, allowed the "silver blood" to duplicate the crew. (Star Trek: Voyager episode: "Demon")
In 2375, this duplicate ship - unaware that it was a facsimile of the original Voyager crew - began suddenly dying one by one due to warp drive radiation. Upon finding out their true identities, they set a course back to the Demon class planet, but everyone, including the duplicate Halliwell, died before the ship could reach home. (Star Trek: Voyager episode: "Course: Oblivion")

Kira Nerys
- "What are you doing here, B'Elanna? Did Typhuss demote you to security detail? What can I do for you, Kira? I'm looking for Typhuss. Well, he's not here. Do you know where he is? Yes. That's good. It's good to know where your boss is. He's in his quarters. With Sam. Jealous, Kira? Try to stay out of trouble B'Elanna."
- — Kira and B'Elanna, 2388
- "Come in. Typhuss? Kira. I dropped by your office and B'Elanna told me you were here with her. Sam was here but she's gone now. You all right? What did she want? She didn't want anything. Then what was she doing here? I know how you feel about her, Kira, but there's no reason to be concerned or jealous. You don't know how much I wish I could believe that. You didn't talk with her, did you? Actually, I did. You did? What were you thinking? You think Sam and I are going to have a romantic relationship again, if that's why you're worried. It is. How many times do I have to tell you, Sam and I are friends that's it nothing more nothing less. It sounds like a perfect way to manipulate someone. She's not manipulating me. Ever since the day you two crossed paths again, she has lied to you, tricked you, stood in judgment of you. I don't trust her. I don't understand how you can. Sam and I are friends If she had some hidden motive, I would have sensed it after all Sam and I were married. Sam still has feelings for you, she loves you I can see it in her eyes. You have been in love before you do understand the effect it has on people. I still have so many questions. Now that Sam's here, I have a chance to find some answers. Typhuss, this isn't the time to go off on some kind of personal quest. There's too much at stake. Do whatever you need to do. If you feel you need to go and be with Sam again, I'm not going to stop you. But for right now, I need you here, focused. Please promise me that you're not going to fall in love with her again. Not until this is over. All right. I won't. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to get to work. I'll see you later."

With this remark, he sunk the deal the Ferengi wanted to make and prevented Kim from paying too much for the crystals. Harry and Typhuss took an instant liking in Tom and they became friends. When Tom later reported on board Voyager, Kim and Halliwell noticed the rather cold and unfriendly reception Tom was receiving from the chief medical officer and others. When Kim and Halliwell asked him what that was all about, Tom avoided that subject, stating that he was tired of telling it. Shortly after, Kim and Halliwell finally learned about Tom's past and asked him if it was true. Tom said that while the accident was due to a piloting error that he tried to cover up by falsifying reports, he eventually came around and confessed everything; a move that got him discharged from Starfleet. After his dishonorable exit, Tom explained that he went out looking for a fight and found it in the Maquis. Unfortunately for him, he got caught on his first assignment.
