The USS Dauntless (NCC-71879) is a Federation Galaxy-class starship in service to Starfleet in the 24th century.
History[]
2350s-2360s[]
The Dauntless was commissioned in 2357 under the command of Captain Jane Mitchell was outfitted with experimental technology that will be used in the next vessel to bear the name Enterprise, and to help the Federation in their war against the Cardassian Union and end the war. In 2360, the Dauntless was outfitted with sciencfitc technology to explore nebulas and gas giants and she was suppose to be apart of Admiral JP Hanson's fleet to combat the Borg Cube in 2367 but was unable to be there due to a run in with Orion pirates that damaged the ship.
